A lot of my favorite stories boil down to “two or more people don’t see each other clearly and this leads to them messing everything up, but then they learn to see each other for who they really are.”

I understand if you are way too busy/don't have the desire/etc but if you ever wanted to make a rec list of these stories I know I would be delighted to check them out!

Thank you! I'm thinking of turning this into the topic of a newsletter coming up, but one that comes to mind immediately is Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin... Genly does not see Estraven clearly until the end of the book. One of my fav books of all time (and I was so honored to write an afterword for the current edition!)
