What's going on with WeaPo? They looked ready to go at High Performance Camp. Hope they aren't injured!! From May to up until now has been such a rollercoaster. It's been so confusing and I don't know what to think. It's like they've been living in some sort of secrecy and it's quite terrifying. I get the privacy but even Tessa Virtue, of ALL people isn't being private. It makes me wonder what's really going on! I get that they've been trying new things but it's like they don't exist anymore.
Although I think the secrecy has created an element of buzz. Like if we got daily Instagram updates of them sitting in the Novogorsk canteen, it wouldn’t be anywhere as interesting or intriguing.
They are certainly still on social media. But it’s been an offseason of retweets and likes as opposed to posting things about themselves.
I just want to know they are ok. They looked okay in the photo with Ekaterina.
What they’ve done this season is pretty massive. They’ve packed up a home they’ve lived in for 6 years and have (presumably) relocated to a dormitory in a huge Russian training centre.
PJ Kwong seems to be implying she has an interview with them, so perhaps that will shed some more light.
But we will definitely know everything by Rostelecom Cup. Morozov will be speaking to the Russian media I am sure.
I would be interested in daily photos of them in the Novogorsk canteen. (I’m actually serious. I would love that. I am endlessly fascinated by both them and this place.)
Rostelecom will certainly be interesting. Also, Denis is at Skate America and will presumably have to say something when Morozov shows up in the kiss and cry instead of Frank Carroll.
(Side question: if Denis is going to be in Chicago, does the rest of the group go too? Or do they get to stay put in Novogorsk and keep training? One would hope it’s the latter but who knows with Morozov’s ‘all for one and one for all’ philosophy.)

Novogorsk is wild. Like it even has a hair salon and sun bed facilities for the figure skaters and rhythmic gymnasts that need to look beautiful for their events. I get why the Russian Fed is reticent to pay for skaters to train abroad when their are facilities like this in their own country. There would be beds available at Novorgorsk for a small fraction of the cost of renting apartments in Canton or Novi I am sure.

More athletes all pro-Russian absolutely free. But Novogrska have a big disadvantage. It's rare wilderness, almost a village, though comfortable village. Young sporsmeny do not want to deprive yourself of pleasure.
