Ok...so it still kinda hurts a bit. I'm mourning what I thought could one day be.
It's crazy cause this exact time last year things were 'heating up' between us. Now they are so cold.
I'm going through it. Even though I know things are better off this way. I can't help but feel like I'm missing out on something. Or that something has been taken away from me.
It doesn't help that I feel increasingly distanced from him. I HATE getting super close to someone just to feel like I can't even go to them for anything. Or worse, that they don't want to interact with me.
It's a self esteem thing at the end of the day. If I felt better about myself I wouldn't have stayed in the situation long enough to feel so strongly about it.
It was two months of romance. And damn near five months of my own self imposed delusion (lowkey I kinda of felt like I was strung along to a small degree... because I was sort of given hope). The whole situation shouldn't even have been a blip on my emotional radar. But I was still coming out of a rough spot. Eight year relationship ended just a year prior. Rebound situation that I didn't think was a rebound fell apart. Everything felt so right but it wasn't.
Ima fully get over it one day soon. I just need some more space and time.
