Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.
A friend was thinking of keeping it simple, something along "You are awesome!" It didn't occur to me until she said that. I've been more of a letter writer so for the next three letters, I tried her idea.
You are everything that's ever been my favourite thing. You're my love song, my birthday cake, the sound of ocean waves and French words and a baby's laugh. You're a snow angel, crème brulée, a kaleidoscope filled with glitter.
I made a point to start off my letters with quotes taken from books. In a way, I want to encourage reading culture and amaze them with the power of words. Lisa Kleypas is one of my favourite romance authors and she has a way with words that reaches deep into your soul. This is an excerpt from her latest book, 'Dream Lake' and boy did these words linger.
Stumbled upon this and I was so intrigued by it that I immediately bought a set of stationery to get started. I addressed this to 'Stranger on a Train' because I planned to slip this on the LRT seat. Hopefully the one who received this letter gets the reference and if they don't, you are nevertheless still a stranger on a train and I hope this made your day.
