Today I went to barre class for the first time. It’s this intense fusion of ballet, cardio, pilates and aerobics. 5 minutes in and I was dripping in sweat. The workout was do-able but a healthy challenge. Overall, I don’t have any major challenges in my life right now that’s hitting me at the gut. But 25 minutes into the workout, I wanted to cry. I felt this overwhelming sense of grief transmitting through my body and I wanted to sit down and cry. The workout is full body, but predominantly impacts the stomach, thighs and calves. So basically the lower chakras: root, sacral and solar plexus. It was intense work but I will be back for another class. I feel it’s important for my healing. After class, as I walked home, I held space for the grief that was leaving and the empty space it’s leaving behind for something to replace it.

Remember that planets affect houses that they aspect, not just houses that they’re in. For example, you might not have Pluto in the 5th, but you might have Pluto squaring Sun in the 5th, or Moon in the 5th, meaning it affects the 5th house through the aspect (and from whichever house it itself is sitting in). So in that example, Pluto isn’t in the 5th but it’s still impacting it, so the person will still have issues with periodic destruction and renewal (Pluto) of their personal creativity, their self-expression and creations. (5th house) and the planet it aspects is the nature of how these 5th house things are affected, so with the Sun it is your identity, ego, self-expression, if it’s the Moon it is your emotions regarding your creative expression.
Another example. I don’t have Chiron in the 4th, but I have Chiron squaring my stellium of planets IN the 4th. Chiron affects the 4th through the square aspect, even though I actually have Chiron in my 2nd. So my stellium is in tension with Chiron type of issues/themes. So if I read about Chiron in the 4th and relate to it, that is why. This is synthesising the chart and finding why you might relate to something that you don’t ‘have’, which is just seeing where it exists somewhere else. Astrology isn’t cut and dry and one thing doesn’t just mean one thing. It isn’t as structured as that and it needs to be viewed with more fluidity.
One more example. I don’t have Mars in the 10th house, but I have Mars square the Midheaven (the 10th house cusp), so even though with Mars in the 1st, Mars operates IN the 1st house, it does affect my 10th house through how it operates in the 1st.
A planet in a house is where the planet operates primarily—but it CAN be affecting other houses too, through aspects.
SO IMPORTANT!!
