Changkyun as a boyfriend
Hey babies! Chankgyun as a boyfriend, as requested! Sorry for the absence, I know it was an awaited part - therefore I’ve written it extra long. Enjoy <3
- A lot of people say that Changkyun is quite mysterious, and that he is quite hard to read - there is some truth in that! He likes to think he is quite enigmatic and tease others with it.
- However, what many don’t notice is how expressive he is, regarding face and body language. You can tell whether he is happy or sad simply by paying attention to him and his behaviours! That is something that should be kept in mind when dating this cutie - he might not necessarily be the kind of person to say ‘hey, I’m feeling down’, so he’d appreciate you being observant and learning his behaviours.
- Even though his animal is said to be wolf, I think he has a lot of cat-like tendencies as well! He is someone who is very independent, and doesn’t mind being alone for longer periods of time. That’s not to say that he is a very big introvert, because he plays well with others in a group, but there is so much of the Aquarius individualism in him! So do not get too worried or too mad with him, when he doesn’t reply to you ASAP, or if he wants some alone time - he needs to be able to recharge his energy!
- When it comes to dating, he is aware that his kind of lifestyle, with a packed idol schedule, will not suit everyone. Therefore, he needs the kind of person who will understand his life style - the fact that he might not be available in person whenever like ‘others’ could be. He needs someone who will support his dreams, and be his rock, rather than stand in the way of the career that he’s dreamt of, and worked hard for!
- That’s not to say that he is someone who totally forgets about his partner - far from it. His partner is always on his mind, and he definitely uses them as an inspiration for writing his rap materials.
- After being gone for a while, he would try to somehow compensate for the fact that he’s been unavailable, whether it’s a gift from abroad, or coming to surprise you at your apartment with some food.
- He might not be able to see you everyday, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. In fact, he cares a lot! And he shows it to you by acts of service, the way he expresses love. If you mention to him that you’re running low on your favourite candles or incense, he’ll get it for you as soon as he can; if he notices that you are not eating well because you’re stressed, or because you simply don’t have the time to make or buy anything, he’ll have take-away ordered to your door.
- He loves taking care of you in such mundane ways - there is no need to go extravagant with him, he loves the simplicity of life with you. His idol life can take such a toll on him, so being with you is like a breath of fresh air, weight coming off of his shoulders. There isn’t a part of the relationship that he doesn’t love, even romanticising the heart ache when apart.
- The other members would find out about you and your relationship quicker than you and Changkyun thought it would happen. The two of you agreed to keep your relationship to yourselves for the time being, to allow yourselves to simply be together, without any expectations or pressures, or anyone poking their nose into the relationship, and to allow you to get used to the intensity of his life.
- However, even the best laid plans go astray. Honestly though, it was Changkyun who gave it away from the very beginning, not that he knew of course.
- Whenever you text him, sent him a selfie, or a voice message, he’d pick up the phone at once and smile to himself as he read or listened to the contents of your message. Hell, you’d probably even get your own personalised notification sound, so he knows the message is from you.
- But what he hadn't foreseen, is the fact that his older brothers took notice of that, and whenever they heard the familiar ‘ding’ of his phone, they’d discreetly elbow each other, so all of them could watch his reaction in order to be able to theorise later about who it was that was putting Changkyun in such a good mood.
- When he eventually decides to come clean to his brothers, and tell them about you, and even introduce you, to his surprise, they’d tell him they already knew. Which honestly was a bit of a relief to him. That way, at least, he won’t have to sneak off to the studio for your dates.
- Regarding your dates - they’d be so fun and so chill, and so stress free. You wouldn’t have to stress over what to wear, because Changkyun is not just your boyfriend, he is also your best friend - there’s no need for formalities, if you came to his studio in a hoodie and some jeans or leggings, he’d be the happiest because he’d most likely would be wearing the exact same, maybe minus the pants, though.
- Changkyun is the greatest boyfriend you could ever imagine. Being with him is so easy, he makes you feel loved, and happy. He’d also 100% be the playful type of boyfriend, who’d slap your booty and run away, just to instigate a little play-fight with you.
