I bought some of her poetry a long time ago and was astonished about how racist it was. She literally calls jewish people “weeds.” She makes a lot of comparisons of things to nazis, too.

At best, she romanticized the holocaust. At worst, she celebrated it.

There are certainly things to be said about how her depression was treated, how she was manipulated by men, and how she was the subject of a lot of misogyny. But she was also racist in a really overt way, and you probably shouldn’t examine her work without being aware of that. Kind of sucks that her racism has been overly romanticized by white feminism.
