੭﹕﹒ CAN THE STRONGEST BE VULNERABLE TOO? ⸝⸝
五条悟 ── .✦ GOJO SATORU ⋮⋮ in which, he finally reveals his most vulnerable side to the reader after years of being regarded as a weapon rather than a human being.
CONTENTS → gojo crying, reader comforts him, heavy angst, fluff, spoiler, toxic social masculinity.
WORD COUNT → 3k
You had witnessed every version of Satoru Gojo.
The unbearably arrogant prodigy who carried the weight of the world on his shoulders as if it were nothing.
The insufferable menace who never missed an opportunity to tease everyone around him.
The strongest sorcerer alive—the untouchable man people admired, envied, feared, and depended on.
To the rest of the world, Satoru Gojo was invincible. He was the sky itself; limitless, unreachable, and incapable of falling.
But they had never seen the version you had.
You had witnessed the aftermath of losing Suguru.
Not the loud kind of grief that shattered rooms and demanded attention, but the quiet, suffocating kind that hollowed a person out from the inside until all that remained was an empty shell pretending to be alive.
You had caught him staring at nothing for hours, his unfocused cerulean eyes lingering on memories only he could see. You had heard the exhausted sighs he swallowed whenever someone mentioned the past, watched his smile stretch across his lips while never once reaching his eyes.
The laughter he gave everyone else had become nothing more than smoke and mirrors—a flawless illusion crafted by a man who had mastered the art of hiding his own misery.
The worst nights were always the silent ones.
When the world finally stopped demanding pieces of him, when the missions ended, and when no one else remained to witness the cracks beneath the title of the strongest, you would find him sitting alone by the window.
His shoulders would tremble ever so slightly as tears slipped down his face without a single sound escaping his lips, as though even his grief believed it had no right to exist.
It was a heartbreaking sight that no amount of strength could ever prepare you for.
Watching the man you loved unravel thread by thread felt like standing helplessly beneath a collapsing sky, knowing there was nothing you could do except reach out and hope your hands were enough to keep him from disappearing completely.
Everyone expected Satoru Gojo to carry the world.
No one ever stopped to ask who carried him.
People worshipped strength until it bled, mistaking resilience for invulnerability. They expected him to endure every loss with a grin, to shoulder impossible burdens without complaint, and to emerge victorious every single time because that was what “the strongest” was supposed to do.
Somewhere along the way, Satoru had convinced himself that crying was a luxury meant for ordinary people. Heroes, after all, weren’t allowed to fall apart.
So you refused to let him believe that.
“Toru…” Your voice barely rose above a whisper as your fingers gently brushed against his hand. “It’s okay. You don’t have to keep everything locked inside when you’re with me.”
His gaze flickered toward yours for only a second before that familiar smile returned—the one that never failed to fool everyone else.
“I’m really okay, Y/N.”
He punctuated the lie with an exaggerated thumbs-up and the same goofy grin that had stolen your heart years ago.
Anyone else would’ve believed him without a second thought.
Anyone else would’ve laughed and let the conversation drift elsewhere.
You weren’t anyone else.
“Wanna eat out?” he asked, stretching lazily as if nothing had happened. “My treat… as always.”
A small smile found your lips despite yourself. “Of course. So, where are we going?”
He pretended to think, tapping his chin dramatically before his shoulders visibly relaxed.
“Mmm… Actually…” His voice softened, stripped of its usual theatrical flair. “Can we just stay home? Cuddle on the couch… order sweets… maybe watch Netflix?”
The exhaustion hidden beneath those simple words hit you harder than any curse ever could.
“Let me guess.” You smiled knowingly. “Milk tea and Kikufuku?”
A tiny smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.
“And you want Buldak with an iced matcha.”
Neither of you needed to ask anymore.
Love had become muscle memory.
You knew each other’s cravings, habits, moods, and silences so intimately that words often felt unnecessary. While he placed the order through his phone, you quietly gathered the blankets scattered across the couch. The apartment was soon wrapped in a comfortable silence, interrupted only by the faint tapping of his screen.
When he finally set his phone aside, Satoru didn’t sit beside you.
Instead, he slowly lowered himself until his head rested on your lap, the snowy strands of his hair spilling across your thighs like freshly fallen winter. His eyes drifted shut as you instinctively threaded your fingers through his impossibly soft hair.
Around everyone else, Satoru Gojo’s Infinity stood between him and the world.
Around you, it simply… didn’t.
Whether he consciously deactivated it or whether his Limitless had long since recognized you as someone who could never hurt him, neither of you questioned it anymore.
His body knew before his mind ever could that you were home. You were the one place where he no longer had to stand at the edge of the universe, holding it together with bloodied hands.
A long, weary sigh escaped his lips.
Then, so quietly you almost missed it, he spoke.
“Y/N…”
His voice was fragile.
“…you’ll never leave me… right?”
Your fingers stilled for the briefest moment.
This was about Suguru.
About every person who had slipped through his fingers no matter how tightly he’d tried to hold on. About the unbearable truth that limitless power couldn’t stop people from walking away.
For all his strength, Satoru had never learned how to survive abandonment. Every goodbye carved another scar into his heart until he feared loving anyone at all.
Because if he lost you too…
You weren’t sure there would be enough of him left to save.
You leaned down, pressing the gentlest kiss against his forehead.
“Never,” you whispered. “I promise. I’m not going anywhere, Toru.”
He didn’t answer.
“I love you far too much to leave you.”
The instant your lips brushed against his skin, something inside him finally gave way.
A single tear escaped the corner of his brilliant blue eye before another followed, and then another, until the dam he’d spent years desperately reinforcing collapsed all at once.
His breathing hitched violently as he curled into himself, burying his face against your stomach like a child seeking shelter from a storm. His fingers clutched the fabric of your shirt with quiet desperation, as though letting go meant drowning.
He thought he looked pathetic, weak, and embarrassing.
The strongest sorcerer in history reduced to silent sobs in the arms of the woman he loved.
But all you saw was a man who had carried impossible grief for far too long.
A man whose heart had been bleeding beneath a smile so convincing that the entire world applauded it.
A man who deserved, if nothing else, the freedom to fall apart without fearing he’d be loved any less.
You didn’t tell him to stop crying.
You didn’t tell him to be strong.
You simply held him closer, your fingers continuing to comb gently through his hair while your heartbeat became a lullaby against his ear.
For the first time in what felt like forever, Satoru allowed himself to grieve.
“I love you, Y/N…”
The confession came out no louder than a broken breath, trembling between tears.
Yet somehow, in that quiet apartment filled with nothing but rain against the windows and two aching hearts finally sharing the same burden, those four words carried more weight than every promise he’d ever made to the world.
After spending several minutes endlessly scrolling through Netflix, the two of you finally settled on the one movie you had been relentlessly pestering Satoru to watch for nearly a month now—20th Century Girl.
The moment the title appeared on the screen, a victorious grin immediately spread across your face as though you had just conquered the impossible.
You shot him a smug look that screamed I won, earning nothing but an exaggerated groan from the white-haired sorcerer sprawled dramatically across the couch beside you.
“You and your romance movies…” Satoru complained, throwing his head back with theatrical despair. “Ugh. They’re emotionally manipulative.”
His words sounded confident enough, but you knew better.
For someone who acted as though romance films were beneath him, Satoru had an embarrassingly soft heart hidden beneath all that bravado.
Every time a loyal dog died, he’d go suspiciously quiet. Every time one of the lovers didn’t get their happy ending, he’d pretend to stretch just so he could secretly wipe his eyes before anyone noticed.
He despised sad romances for one simple reason—he cared far too much. His heart clung to fictional characters as though they were old friends, and he hated the lingering ache they left behind long after the credits rolled.
You leaned closer, your fingers finding his impossibly soft cheek before giving it a playful pinch.
“Then why do you hate romance movies so much?” you whined with a teasing smile. “Don’t you ever imagine it’s us instead?”
“No!”
His answer came far too quickly.
Before you could even laugh, Satoru dramatically collapsed sideways until he was practically melting across the couch like a scoop of ice cream left beneath the summer sun. His limbs flopped everywhere in exaggerated protest as he buried half his face beneath a cushion, throwing what could only be described as a full-blown toddler tantrum.
“What if you die, Y/N?!” he cried, peeking at you with wide sapphire eyes. “My heart can’t survive that! No. Nope. Absolutely not.”
His brows furrowed into the tiniest pout while his lower lip jutted forward so dramatically it almost deserved an award. He looked less like the strongest sorcerer alive and more like an abandoned puppy demanding affection.
Your chest tightened.
“You’re so…” You couldn’t even finish the sentence without laughing softly. “Ugh… you’re ridiculously cute.”
Unable to resist, you cupped his face between your palms, your thumbs lazily brushing over the warmth of his skin. His cheeks were unbelievably soft beneath your fingertips, and before common sense could intervene, cuteness aggression completely won over.
You pinched both of them.
Hard enough to earn exactly the reaction you expected.
“OWW! Y/N!” he yelped, immediately grabbing your wrists while glaring at you with the most offended expression imaginable.
Instead of feeling guilty, you burst into laughter.
That was simply the rhythm of your relationship.
Every conversation somehow dissolved into playful teasing, exaggerated complaints, stolen touches, and laughter that echoed through the apartment until your stomachs hurt.
It wasn’t grand gestures or extravagant dates that made your heart feel full. It was moments like these—the ordinary ones—that quietly became extraordinary because they were shared with him.
Home wasn’t a place anymore.
It was Satoru.
As the movie continued, the two of you absentmindedly stole bites from each other’s food without asking.
He grimaced every time he bravely attempted your spicy Buldak before immediately reaching for his milk tea to save himself, while you happily stole pieces of his Kikufuku whenever he looked away. Somehow, even something as simple as sharing dinner felt intimate with him.
You found yourself barely paying attention to the movie.
Instead, your thoughts drifted back to the man leaning comfortably against your shoulder.
His body radiated a gentle warmth that seeped through your clothes like sunlight after weeks of rain. His snowy hair brushed against your temple every now and then, and despite wearing no cologne whatsoever, he carried that familiar scent that was simply… him.
Clean laundry, a hint of sweetness from his desserts, and something impossibly comforting that no expensive perfume could ever hope to imitate.
You wondered if people were capable of becoming addictions.
Because if they were…
Satoru Gojo had become yours.
Without realizing it, the words escaped before you could stop them.
“I love you so much.”
The confession was quiet, almost swallowed by the voices coming from the television.
It carried louder than every line in the movie combined.
The years slipped by like grains of sand through trembling fingers, carrying the two of you into a future neither of you had ever imagined.
Your love had remained steadfast through every mission, every sleepless night, every wound that refused to heal. Yet somewhere along the way, something had quietly changed.
The laughter that once filled your apartment had become scarce, replaced by deafening silence and unanswered calls. Satoru had grown busier with each passing day, the looming battle against Sukuna hanging over his head like a storm cloud waiting to break.
Even when he smiled, the weight on his shoulders was impossible to ignore.
Today was the day.
The day fate would finally collect its debt.
Satoru wore the same infuriating confidence he always had, boasting to his students that victory was already in the palm of his hand. He laughed, teased, and carried himself with the effortless arrogance only Gojo Satoru could pull off.
However, you knew him far too well to be fooled by the performance. Beneath those brilliant blue eyes lingered exhaustion so profound it seeped into his bones. He looked like a man who hadn't rested in years.
"Y/N." His voice carried an unfamiliar seriousness as he gently took both of your hands into his. "No matter what happens... promise me you'll stay here. Don't leave this apartment."
Then, as though trying to chase away the heaviness settling between you, he flashed a crooked grin.
"I'll even pay you a million yen. Easy money, right?"
It was such a painfully obvious attempt to lighten the mood that your heart ached.
He wasn't joking because he found it funny.
He was joking because he was terrified.
This apartment had always been your sanctuary—the place where the strongest sorcerer could simply become Satoru, where battles, curses, and expectations remained outside the front door. He wanted to preserve that sanctuary for you, shielding you from the bloodshed he was about to walk into alone.
"You'll win..." you whispered, searching his eyes. "Right?"
A small smile curved across his lips.
"I'd win."
You believed him.
How could you not? This was the man who had spent his entire life carrying humanity on his back, protecting a world that never stopped asking for more. If anyone could return victorious, it was him.
"I trust you."
You wrapped your arms around him one last time, holding him just a little tighter than usual, quietly wishing this embrace could somehow follow him into battle.
Deep inside, you clung to the hope that when this war finally ended, he would no longer be treated as a weapon forged solely for sacrifice. Perhaps, for once, he could simply live.
He let out a quiet, shaky chuckle as he rested his forehead against yours.
"Don't make me cry, Y/N," he murmured with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "You're making this feel like one of your romance movies."
A watery laugh escaped you despite the knot tightening in your throat.
"Then promise me..." you whispered. "Promise me you'll come back... so we can watch them together again."
For the briefest moment— he hesitated. So subtle that anyone else would've missed it. But you didn't.
Then he smiled.
"I promise."
It was cold.
Not the ordinary kind of cold brought by winter winds or the quiet hours before dawn, but a bone-deep stillness that swallowed every ounce of warmth from the world.
Darkness stretched endlessly around him, vast and unforgiving, while above, countless stars shimmered across the night sky like distant lanterns waiting to guide a weary soul home.
The battlefield had finally fallen silent. The screams, the destruction, the deafening clash of cursed energy—everything had faded until only the heavens remained to bear witness to the strongest sorcerer's final moments.
Oddly enough...
He couldn't feel the pain anymore.
Perhaps his body had already surrendered long before his heart did.
His torso had been severed clean in two, blood staining the earth beneath him like crimson ink soaking into fragile paper. But the agony he expected never came.
Instead, an unbearable emptiness settled inside his chest, heavier than any wound Sukuna could have ever inflicted. It was the kind of ache that no Reverse Cursed Technique could heal—the devastating realization that there were dreams he would never get to live.
Still... Satoru stubbornly tried to lift himself from the ground.
Once and twice, and again.
His trembling arms refused to obey, collapsing beneath their own weight each time. Every instinct screamed at him to keep fighting, to stand up one last time for you. His thoughts weren't of the battlefield, his students, or even the title of the strongest. They belonged entirely to the person waiting for him at home.
You.
You, who were probably counting the minutes until he walked through the front door.
You, who believed every word of his promise.
You, who had become the only place in the world where Gojo Satoru was allowed to simply exist without carrying its burdens.
Home had never been four walls. Home had always been you.
I'm sorry...
I broke my promise.
I wanted to watch more of those unbearably cheesy romance movies with you. I wanted to steal your spicy food even though it nearly killed me every time. I wanted to curl up beside you beneath our blanket, complain about your terrible movie choices, and fall asleep listening to your heartbeat.
I wanted more ordinary days.
I wanted to grow old with you.
I wanted to marry you.
...I wanted you to hold me one last time.
The stars above blurred into soft streaks of light and his lips curved into the faintest, most bittersweet smile.
And within the final seven minutes of Gojo Satoru's life, the strongest man in the world thought of nothing except the woman who had always been his greatest weakness—
And his only home.
jjk is depressing i need a new interest (this was still peak anyway)

The court attendants dutifully go about their respective tasks around the palace. Uraume, for one, has been wracking their brain over what dishes to prepare for tonight's supper, while everyone else tends to whatever needs tending.
What briefly stops them are the familiar footsteps echoing against the wooden floors. These aren't just ordinary creaks of old wood. They're heavy, tired, almost lazy thuds.

ever since you have pushed out your newborn, Megumi, your love for him was like a vain that connected his heart to yours. from the day he was placed on top of your naked chest after 7 hours of labor, to now, where he is pushing off of your grip to chase after his father, Toji, and leaving you standing there upset.
it would sometimes dishearten you when you would see your baby choose his father over his mother that would take care of him 70% of the time. and you knew that he loved his father more than you because of multiple reasons.
“do you love mama or dada more!” you’d chirp as you would try to coddle him.
all he would do is push your hands away and cross his arms, squatting on the floor. the kid seemed like he had some kind of connection with his father that made him prefer Toji over anyone else.
Toji opened the door to your shared bedroom, stepping out. he was shirtless, muscles visibly bulky. his grey sweatpants were loosely draping around his long legs, yet still keeping his print visible. he was barefoot, slowly walking towards you and Megumi.
Megumi launches from the floor, waddling towards him. his feet are paddling across the floor while Toji is filling in the gap between them.
“daddyyy!!” he squeals, his only 3 teeth growing in being spotted with his cheeky smile.
Toji’s face unstiffens, inviting him over.
Megumi throws himself around his leg, wrapping around it and reaching as far up as he can to try to reach him. Megumi starts giggling as your husband ruffles his hair.
“hey kid.” Toji chuckled, grabbing his arms and lifting him over his shoulder, smirking.
their laughter can be heard throughout the apartment, giving it warmth. it was just Megumi and his father taking up the mood in the living room, affection being felt through the air.
oh yeah, and also you sitting on the floor with your back against the couch with an envious expression. the jealousy has basically reached your blood stream from feeling it almost every single day.
you cut them off from their moment, snapping at them.
“this isn’t fair! i was literally having a moment with him before you came in.”
even though you knew that wasn’t true, you wish it was. Megumi is such a stubborn kid when it came to you.
“baby, you know that if i didn’t intervene he would of died of boredom from you asking the same question for the hundredth time. isn’t that right kid?”
megumi squeals, throwing his head onto his chest, having Toji cup his head and run away with him into the bedroom to have him all to himself.
that selfish bastard.
and this is only one of Megumi’s tantrums over his fathers affection.
it was late at night and Megumi hasn’t eaten all day. you have been trying to get him to eat his dinner for the past 2 hours yet the only thing he was doing was squalling and sobbing. your head started to hurt from consuming all his wailing.
you knew exactly why he was refusing to eat. it was because his father wasn’t home. Toji has been gone for the past 5 hours, leaving Megumi at home while he went out with friends to a takeout spot.
usually he takes him with him whenever he leaves the house, but this time, he wanted some alone time with his friends.
as you’re about to give up, you hear the key enter the lock, turning the doorknob open. Toji enters the apartment, locking the door behind him.
Megumi grows silent as he hears Toji’s footsteps coming towards the kitchen.
“baby, i could hear him sobbing from outside the apartment. is he giving you trouble again my love?”
you throw your head against your arms that are resting against the table, sighing as your head hits the table. you’re hunched and visibly drained.
you groan out a couple of incoherent words as Toji walks towards you two.
Megumi reaches out for Toji, throwing his hands up as a sign of wanting to get picked up. Toji walks right past him and cups your face. his cold hands linger on your cheeks as he quickly pecks you, the rings in his fingers giving you the chills.
he straightened up after the kiss, turning towards megumi. he walks towards him and picks up the baby fork, starting to stab the now cold pasta.
he picks up a couple of pieces and pushes the fork near megumi’s mouth.
“since you wanna be such a pain in the ass, you can eat and go straight to bed. you’re not getting play time with me tonight.” Toji growls.
megumi nods in a frantic way, basically swallowing the whole fork. Toji pulls a seat near the high chair, spreading his thighs and sitting between the backrest.
“go to sleep baby, i got it from here.” toji coos before shoving another fork full of pasta into megumi’s mouth.
Toji was always soft with megumi, giving him the love he deserves in a gentle way. but today, it got to him how his son was causing trouble to the love of his life. he knew he had to be a little rough on him so he can gravitate towards you and not depend on him every second of the day.
after a couple of weeks, on a random sunday, you woke up feeling nauseous. you threw toji’s hand that was wrapped around your figure away from you, stumbling as you walked towards the bathroom.
toji woke up instantly, following you towards the bathroom in just his boxers, pushing the door open.
you puked into the toilet, grabbing at the toilet rim. toji kneels down and bunches up your hair, moving it out of the way.
“it’s okay baby, i know.” he reassures. “you’re doing good… just breathe.”
after a couple of minutes of puking your guts out, you lean back against the bathtub, having toji wipe your mouth with a damp towel.
a moment of silence, yet intimacy is exchanged. he picks you up gently and carries you out of the bathroom towards the bed. he pulls the covers over you, slowly taking a seat at the edge of the bed.
you noticed toji have a worried look on his face, which he never does. he is a very composed man, never letting anything get to him. but right now it was different.
“sweetheart…” he hesitates.
“mhm baby?” you utter, still feeling the sickness deep in your stomach.
“i think… you might be.. pregnant.” he blurts out.
there’s a moment of silence before you respond.
“yeah i think so too…”
“i think i should pass by the pharmacy and pick up a pregnancy test. stay here. i’ll be back as soon as possible baby.” toji demands.
you’re now in the bathroom holding up the test in your hands with toji standing behind you peeking.
low and behold, there’s 2 bright red lines staring back at you.
“fuckkkk. how are we supposed to handle 2?” Toji grunts, hands swiping down his face.
this is going to be a long 9 months….
how were you going to have a second child when your first doesn’t even like you? the last thing you want is a second child that prefers their bummy father over you.
you turn towards the door as you hear small footsteps approaching the bathroom.
“it’s megumi, hide the test baby.” toji utters before stepping away from the door. you throw the test into the sink and turn around as the door opens, welcoming in Megumi.
he walks in with his eyelids heavy, looking around the bathroom to see what’s going on.
“hey kid. why are you up early…?” toji questions in a warming way, trying to hide his demeanor.
megumi looks up at him and ignores him, walking right past him. toji’s eyes widen as Megumi usually clings onto him first thing in the morning, usually leaving you glaring at toji.
he stops right in front of you, looking up in your direction. his hands fly up above his head as he steps closer.
“…up.”
you freeze as you share a couple of glances at toji. a smile grew across your face as you cupped your hands under his arms, lifting him to sit on your hip and his head rested on your shoulder.
Megumi was showing affection towards you? as in like YOU over toji? as in the person he would throw spaghetti at and cry all day when toji wasn’t available?
a couple of months pass and you are days away from the due date. everything has become very difficult. thankfully, toji has been taking care of you and everything in the house.
before he would sleep, he would make sure to turn to the side and see you vast asleep, all comfortable and hugging your pregnancy pillow.
he grunts, pushing the pillow away and throwing your hand across his abdomen. you wake up, feeling groggy.
“baby.. what are you doing?” you question, scanning his whole body.
“quit cuddling this pillow when your handsome husband is laying right next to you.” he smirks, caressing your womb.
you snort out a giggle, pulling his face closer.
“i love you baby.”
“yeah, yeah, just cuddle me already.”
he retorts. “i love you more….. and our baby.
besides from toji showing more affection, megumi was behind him in line.
it was bright and early in the morning when the sun casted a warmth onto the sheets. you slowly wake up, hand reaching to find toji’s. you search for a couple of second before openining your eyes, seeing him not there.
you get up, sighing as you haul yourself out of bed and put on your slippers. whines and sniffling can be heard as you approach the living room.
“get up kid, you’ll see her when you get back.” you hear toji reassuring.
you turn the corner and see megumi laying across the carpet like a starfish with his backpack on, enhaling the carpet as he sniffles into it.
“toji?…… what’s wrong?” you question in a worried tone that toji picked up on quickly.
“nothing baby. go back to sleep.”
he finally picks up his head from the damp carpet, looking up at you. his eyes are glimmering from his tears, making you pout.
“awwww, my baby, what’s wrong?” you express with sympathy.
he drops his head back onto the carpet and continues to whine, restarting his streak of crying.
“what’s wrong is that he doesn’t want to go to school because he said he won’t see you there.” toji puffs out, clearing exhausted from this situation.
your heart swells, casting a warmth onto your face as you pout.
you waddle towards megumi and pick him up from the soggy carpet, giving him a goodbye kiss and reassuring him you’ll be here when he comes back.
it’s like megumi was swapped out with another kid during school. he has suddenly flipped a switch where he prefers you over his lord and savior, toji.
whenever megumi would notice you rubbing your belly with lotion or anti-stretch mark cream, he would get jealous and start puffing.
you giggle, turning towards megumi who was standing by the doorstep, taking up 1/5th of the height of the door.
“what’s wrong my baby?” you mock, continuing to rub your belly to distribute the cream.
he turns around, having his back face you as he puffs and stomps away.
you can’t help but cackle. not only did he change, but now he’s jealous of a baby that you diddnt even give birth to…. yet.
it’s the day of labor and you’re pushing the baby out with all your might. it’s been 4 hours of labor and still nothing. toji has been by your side, pushing your hips together and rubbing your back. his face casted a sympathetic look for you. the room was full with the smell of alcohol wipes and beeping from the machine you were hooked onto. Toji kept on distracting you from everything by talking you through your labor. his hand was interlinked with yours, thumb caressing your outer palm.
“it’s okay baby, i know. i know. im so proud of you.” he reassured, whispering near your ear as you grunted from each push.
sooner or later, the baby started sobbing, making you and toji alert of what was happening. you two shared a glance where your eyes were watery and to your shock, so was his.
this was such an intimate moment that was engrained into your brain. the look in toji’s eyes made you pout while a rainfall of tears left your eyes. his other hand came to cradle your head, pushing you gently into his chest.
“you did it baby….. i’m so proud of you.” he cooed, caressing your hair.
it was moments after you held your baby skin to skin, soon leading him to go get washed up before being able to be breastfed. the nurse was cleaning you up and speaking to your husband about what you can and can’t do for the next month or so.
until you heard a faint knock on the door.
the door creaked open with megumi tip toeing into the room with his grandma behind him. his hands were in his pockets and his little boots were clamping against the floor.
“aww, my baby came to see me..” you giggled.
Megumi wasn’t allowed in the labor room while you were actively giving birth, so his grandma took care of him while you and toji were alone in the hospital. it’s been 2 days and you missed your first born.
megumi’s eyes gleamed as soon as he saw you, trying to climb onto the hospital bed.
“easy kid. she just gave birth a couple of hours ago… let her rest.” toji remarked.
megumi threw his hands across your chest, cuddling you as you ruffled his hair.
a few minutes pass and your newborn is brung back to you, freshly showered. megumi lifts his head up from your chest to see what all the commotion is. you cup your arms together for the nurse to place your newborn into them.
the warmth of her sends shivers through your body as a new found love of yours is gripping onto your hospital gown.
clearly, megumi isn’t having it. he pushes off of you and jumps off onto the cold, tile floors and runs to toji, jumping into his arms.
“atta kid. i knew you were going to come back to me sooner or later.” toji chuckled.
just as you expected.
toji was back to being megumi’s favorite.
