i keep telling myself to be kind.

i see posts every day that stick with me. smile at strangers, and stick your tongue out at babies so you become someone you’d want to fall in love with.

lead with your heart because communicating love is the essence of life.

i look at my favorite characters and they seem to agree. they explain the true essence of being a hero, or that it really is a blessing to have someone care about your happiness.

i put a part of my soul in their hands, because i know it is safe there.

i will fall in love with that kindness, and i will find it within myself.

when i wrote this i had only just finished mha for the first time.

i was at a very low point and izuku as a character had picked me up. it felt like everything i’d been wanting to embrace was reflected back at me. resilience, kindness, bravery, compassion, patience, forgiveness, and so much more.

i think these characters can do a lot for people.

the quotes that circle my head and get me through every day now aren’t only from my favorite shows, but mantras i repeat in order to embrace a truer version of myself.

i was thinking of izuku and tohru when i wrote this. two characters that lead with their hearts without fear of consequence, maybe to a fault, but there is no fault is being kind.

i want to fall in love with their kindness, and find it in myself.

i will always leave a part of my soul in their hands, because i know it is safe there.

i think it takes a while for them to talk about everything

i love thinking about body language esp with these two, i think when they first try to be there for each other they keep their hands to themselves lmaoo.

deku is so stubborn and loves to pretend he's fine so he's not gonna go in for a hug (which is why he hugs himself) but also, he needs some contact when he's anxious so he kind of leans into bakugo and they just sit like that for a while they're so unserious.

i think bakugo is even worse (he lovess to shove his hands into his pockets) and needs to be pulled into some physical contact (he needs it too when he feels queasy).

i like to draw them hugging and such but i think it takes a while for them to get there as teens, eventually they're familiar enough with each other's body language to know when the protest against being pulled into a hug is serious or not and they would respect each other's boundaries <3
