With much testing, I've found that the Prismacolor brush pen works best on a pumpkin without smearing. The text is the Witch's Spell from Macbeth

Even if I don’t make a card, I still spend probably too much time picking out the perfect one to buy (in fact, me buying a cheap, generic card is my passive-aggressive way of showing I’m mad at a person). So when I am taking the time to look through them all, I usually select several that I like so that I have a stockpile for emergency situations. If they have good quality paper - that’s a plus

Chalkboard art is hard, y'all. I'm copying an old Paper and Ink Arts catalogue as practice, as well as a way to fill up the chalkboard until the girls are ready for me to teach them more math

This year's Father's Day card from Fifty Five Hi's, as I got too busy with moving and graduating (I feel bad every time I buy a card instead of making one, but this one is lovely). My dad liked the envelope better since that's what he calls my "handiwork." The above-mentioned business is why I have been absent lately, but I hope to get back to work soon, starting first with a question that I will ask within the next few days

Favourite letter number 8: Spencerian S in 6 Karat White Gold (which looks quite a lot like Silver 😀). And some more tests I did today, using Instacoll and Kölner Miniatum Ink. The whole process is much less difficult with these modern sizes than I would have assumed, but of course there are a lot of details to figure out!! Very fine hairlines seem to be very difficult, because the gold leaf breaks. I used patent gold (on paper), because it is easier to handle.

A little late but this is a Valentine envelope I decorated for my friend to give to her daughter

Instead of a studio, I have a studio apartment. As I recently organized and cleaned my writing desk, I decided to take pictures to show my setup. 

My surplus supplies are stored in boxes under my bed, but I tried to fit as much into this desk as I could. For some reason I have an addiction to buying notecards, despite not having many people to write to. So, anyone want to be pen pals?

I also like to display odd and awesome bric-a-bracs, including this porcelain mask from Florence, a little owl statue from Greece, Plants vs. Zombies plushies from Alan, and an Adipose stress toy from my dad. 

I just really hope I can keep this desk when I move out of this apartment, I love it so much!
