We're like blades of grass, we're like the mist. But for God, a thousand years is like a day, and he has power over spacetime and the universe. God heals, transforms, and renews us; and he is bigger than any of our problems. Our larger-than-life God knows every little thing about each of us, every issue we face! He counts the hairs on our heads, he's kept count of each tear that has fallen.
When we are struggling and feel lost, alone, empty, stuck, futile, like we are sinking, like nobody understands or like no one knows anything, in those moments, we just need a hug. First off, he knows. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit know. They get us and feel what we are going through. They understand and see how we've tried or are trying our best. They see the hurt that we feel.
When we've been good to the wrong people, let's not let that hurt mess with us forever either. Let's not allow someone else's actions or choices negatively affect how we view ourselves. Because the truth is that all of us are precious. We all need to know that, learn to feel that, and strengthen ourselves knowing that. The truth is each one of us are so loved and valued. We're God's babies, we're each a lovable, good little thing, and he's going to take care of us all - for our entire lives. So, let's not worry. Let's trust God's provision. Our little backs are taken care of and we are definitely loved and not alone! If someone tries to say otherwise, I say we send blessings to whoever who tried to tell us different, then kick their ass!! No, just kidding, let's not go around kicking other people's asses but what I mean is, we should just move on and keep walking, and we can. In those times, we do not have to and should not play in someone else’s games like that. It wastes our sweet time and energy, and makes us feel badly about ourselves.
When we've done wrong and we feel so guilty, our mistakes can make us see ourselves in such a terrible light. We come to see ourselves as only evil, bad, trash, scum, and that we don’t deserve anything good, and that it’s only right that we should be damned for the rest of our lives, that we’re hopeless, a lost cause, worthless, and our past haunts us. Sometimes we think the worst of ourselves like this even when it's not actually our fault, but we think it is because we just do, or because others make it seem so. Either case, we are poor things at these times and our guilt can weigh so heavily on our hearts. But God forgives us and Jesus saved us. We will not be forsaken by God. If we ask, admit, and truly are sorry, we’ll be forgiven, we’ll be set free! If you go to church, you've heard that one before! Every day's a new day with the new horizon. So, we can all start living right today, and even if we think we've screwed up by midday, let’s remind ourselves that every and any moment can be a new start if we want it to be.
We should take the rest we all need, and we should rest in order to work again. We should sharpen our axes as we rest. Let’s be patient with ourselves and not overburden or be hard on ourselves. Let’s take time in life to take in, experience and feel everything around us that God blessed us with and created. Let’s be grateful, thankful, glad, and joyful. Whenever we feel like we can't be, let’s each start with looking at the little things in our lives, if that helps, and we’ll soon feel a healing power working on us and realize the great work God's already done so far in our lives. Let’s learn to be thankful that he provided for us in all the ways that he has, even if we think he could've given us something else more preferable to us. Thinking about all the things we are thankful for regularly can open our hearts and minds.
He put something special inside of you because he wanted to use you. You specifically, you particularly. He put something special inside of me because he wanted to use me. He has a special mission for you, for me - for all of us. Jesus saved us so that we can become connected again to our source and creator, God, our father, his father, and not have to do this by ourselves. So that there would be hope, light, and love all around.
These are some ideas I want to share
I wrote all this but not everything is my own idea
I've learned these things from around me
May Jesus Christ's peace be with you today
