I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF
This potato works. Every. Fucking. Time.
No no you don't understand! I want to watch this show/movie, read this book, listen to this podcast, etc.! But I must be in the right mindset and the exact head space to begin, or I just can't!
“When the handle has snapped off the basket that held all your eggs…” gone girl tier monologue
A fresh batch of goblins
One moment you’re 17 and daydreaming about how glamorous your life will be when you’re finally an adult, then all of sudden it’s a decade later and “treating yourself” means buying full price pistacchios and taking a bath on a week night.
Okay, don’t get me wrong here. I LOVE Jurassic Park. I love seeing their dinosaurs. But after watching Prehistoric Planet, and going back to look at this…
And then looking at this…
Notice how much healthier the second set looks? Their lips cover their teeth, they actually have fat on their bodies, their skin doesn’t wrinkle like they’re dehydrated. You can’t see every single tendon and muscle move because you aren’t supposed to. Dinosaurs are animals, not reptilian body-builders.
THIS is the kind of change I want to see in how we create realistic depictions of not only dinosaurs, but all prehistoric creatures. Paleoart has always had a huge issue with shrink-wrapping and making these animals look terrifying instead of making them look like, well, animals.
Well done, BBC.
STOP BACKYARD BREEDING YOUR DINOSAURS
Get your Tyrannosaurs from responsible, DKC registered breeders! Anyone who says your rex should be skinny or ‘thats just how they are’ is lying to you.

Concept art by Chris Sanders (x) (with my edits)
my favorite concept art from HTTYD, you can see the ‘monsters in the dark’ the way the vikings see them, they look genuinely scary in a way, but then Hiccup finds one, lets it come closer and venture into the light, and you can see it’s not so scary at all, (Toothless’s role is often overlooked too -, The fact that he approaches a KILLING viking who MAIMED him, and gives him a chance?, That’s just as important as Hiccup’s willingness to learn, it’s a partnership after all), (via @ave-aria)
