The prodigal son. The woman at the well. The woman caught in adultery. The thief upon the cross. Time and time again we find that it is those who have fallen the furthest who have also understood best—and appreciated most—the grace and mercy of God. Jesus Christ redeems.
"If your Christianity didn't cost you anything, it probably isn't worth anything." -Jesus Culture
“If you ultimately long to be holy, hope to be holy, hate the sin in your life, and are struggling to get there but keep falling short, and you’re in this kind of weird cycle where you kind of run to God for a season, then you run away to clean yourself up, then you run back to God, then you kind of run away when you screw up, and then you run back… If you have yourself in that cycle, I’m telling you, you’re walking in a fear-based religion that does not quite understand that God has already decreed you as holy and blameless. He has, in his adopting work, decreed to the universe that you are his and he delights in you, is proud of you, loves you, and cherishes you. You are a co-heir with Christ of all he has.” — Matt Chandler

Get into the habit of saying, ‘Speak, Lord,’ and life will become a romance.

I want more of You God!
You can’t expect to mature spiritually if you’re allowing yourself to be spoon-fed. You need to get into the Word yourself and discover God on your own for who He truly is.

Choosing joy when I have tears.
Choosing faith when I feel fear.
Choosing hope over what I see.
Choosing You over me.
I took it for granted that there must be a few men left in the world who had that kind of strength. I assumed that those men would also be looking for women with principle. I did not want to be among the marked-down goods on the bargain table, cheap because they’d been pawed over. Crowds collect there. It is only the few who will pay full price. “You get what you pay for.” If your goal is purity of heart, be prepared to be thought very odd.
