This blog is dedicated to organizing Love, Victor  Fic Fests. We’ll have events throughout the year that encourage fanfic writers to write within a certain theme and hopefully make connections with other writers and reach new readers!

The Organizers:

Nathan (that0negayslytherin)—Hi y’all! I’m Nat, 23 years old, and I use he/him and they/them pronouns. I am a Venji stan through and through, and my favorite character from the show is Victor (I know it’s kinda basic but I just...love him). A fun fact is I’ve been writing fanfic for almost 10 years, and I’ve gone through quite the array of fandoms (1D, Teen Wolf, Glee, Check Please, PJO, HP, and LV are the mains ones!). Sam (lovelyvictor)— Hi! I’m Sam, I’m 19, and I use she/her pronouns. My favorite character is Victor (but also Felix and Pilar and I love Mia/Lake). Fun fact: I’m excited to be doing this! I also like dogs. My main blog is @fairylocal​ but it’s mostly a dan and phil blog and my ao3 is fairyy!

Venji Fic Fests: Summer Vacation 2021

Was anybody else shocked and offended when they read this and found out season 2 would be SKIPPING OVER Venji's first summer together???

This fic fest will be dedicated to writing about Victor and Benji enjoying the summer together, with a special focus on what might have happened during the summer between victor coming out and starting his junior year!!

Guidelines

Length: Since our submission window is much wider, this time length is completely up to you! anything from 200 word oneshots to 100k, multi-chapter epics are fair game.

Theme: As mentioned, we want to specifically focus on the missing months of summer that season 2 will apparently be skipping over, but any kind of summery theme also works perfectly! think beach days, ice cream dates, romantic road trips, etc <3

Ship: As always, Venji is our top priority, but any ship in the LV universe is acceptable!

Submissions: Be sure to submit your fic to this collection on AO3 to be sure it shows up with all of the other summer vacation fics! If you post about it on Tumblr, feel free to send us the post in a DM and we'll be sure to reblog it here.

Deadline: The collection opens on the release date of season 2, June 11, and will be open until at least August 11!

Title: A Surprise for Benji

Rating: T

Word Count: 10,498

Summary:  Victor is struggling to figure out a Valentine’s Day date for Benji. It’s their first Valentine’s together (nearly a year after the events of Love, Victor Season 1). Benji has surprised Victor over and over again throughout the first year of their relationship including the previous weekend for his 17th birthday, but Victor is determined to do the surprising for once.

Venji Fic Fests: Valentine’s Day 2021

hello!! we’re here with our third event (and the first of the new year yay!!). 

Guidelines

Length: As usual, we suggest around 1k words as a minimum, but it can really be as long or short as you like!

Theme: Anything involving Valentine’s Day or even fics that are just especially focused on romance and love!

Ship: Venji of course, but any LV ship is encouraged!

Submissions: When you post on AO3, be sure to add your fic to this collection to make sure it’s grouped with all the v-day fics! And if you make a post on tumblr, you can submit a link to that post on this google form and we’ll reblog it!

Deadline: The collection will be closing sometime in late February, so don’t worry if the fic isn’t finished right on v-day!

if we make it through december | a Venji Bakery AU

summary: Benji’s heart is still broken, and his bakery is limping through the holiday season, not certain to see the new year. Victor’s got his sights set on a promotion at work until Benji catches his eye and makes him consider loosening up, just a little. Just enough. Awkward flirting, pining, and baking ensue. word count: 16,342 excerpt:

“Well, have fun tonight,” Benji says once the transaction has gone through.

“What? Oh, right, the party. Whoo!” Victor says, and Benji can’t tell if he’s being sardonic or badly forcing enthusiasm. “Yeah, can’t…can’t wait.”

There’s a pause during which the two men just look at each other, similar to the pause that occurred the day previous.

“Um. Yeah. Thanks again. See you around,” Victor blurts, and then he practically runs out the door. The sound of the door chime has never been so sad.

Venji Fic Fests: Winter Holidays 2020

For our second event, we’re celebrating everything festive for the winter!! Snowball fights, sledding, curling up by a fire, exchanging gifts, whatever your heart desires!!

Guidelines

Length: We suggest around a 1k words minimum, but it’s okay if your word count is lower.

Theme: While this is an open-ended event and anything holiday-related or winter themed will do, here’s also a list of prompts and ideas in case you want some inspiration or a starting point!

Ship: Though we’re called Venji Fic Fests, it’s allowed and encouraged to focus on other ships within the fandom as well. If you’d like, your fic need not include any Venji (or any ship) at all!

Submissions: In order to submit, first and foremost, post a fic and make sure you add it to this collection. Once your fic is posted, create a Tumblr post linking to it, and then share the link to that post in this Google form. That way, we can reblog your fic to this blog and keep everything in one place!

Deadline: The collection will close on Friday, January 1st.

Fresh Hell - A Venji College AU

The first chapter of my new fic Fresh Hell is now live! It’s a 5-part AU that’s largely inspired by the iconic show Scream Queens and involves lots of gay banter, murder, and dark humor!

The Thousand-Eyed Wraith (ao3) - My entry for the Venji Halloween Fic Fest!! 

Summary: 

Victor and Benji wake up a long way from Atlanta. And a long time away. Somehow, they get roped into doing things they wouldn’t normally do. Will they make it out alive?

(Venji Futuristic/Scifi/Horror Cult AU)

Excerpt:

They approached the clearing. In the sun a figure sat. Crackling. It wasn’t yet on fire. But the brush around it was.

“Wait.”

Stopping, Benji held Victor back. A blackened stump surrounded with a ring of fire. On the stump, what looked like… a gnome? No. More humanoid… Victor squinted. He covered his face from the brightness. On the stump sat… a doll.

Eyes following eyes following eyes… Three pairs. Moving.

Victor swallowed. He’d seen enough Chucky movies. They stayed in the shade.

The doll’s face contorted. Its eyes were black; no pupils, all iris. With size alone, it wasn’t threatening. At all. But the inhuman movements were enough. Victor stepped back. He pulled Benji, too.

Three words: Venji Vampire AU. I wrote this as one of my additions to the Venji Fic Fests Halloween 2020 event, and I’m very excited to be sharing it!!!

excerpt;

Victor’s starting to catch on.

He doesn’t know what he’s catching onto, but Benji can tell that he’s starting to question things. In the beginning, they hadn’t been quite close enough for Victor to realize when things were starting to deteriorate again. Back when they weren’t spending so much time together, when things were fresh and exciting and the butterflies hadn’t been shot down by the crimson archer, the unwelcome squatter in Benji’s veins.

But now that they’re practically inseparable, it’s become much more difficult to hide when feeding time rolls around.

And this October is even worse, because there are two full moons. Two. Even though Benji knows in the rational part of his mind that the distance between them isn’t anything special, that the phases of the moon will still come and go as they always have, there’s something deeply unsettling about seeing two full moons in the same calendar month.

Theme: While this is an open-ended event and anything fall-related or spooky will do, here’s also a list of prompts and ideas in case you want some inspiration or a starting point!

Submissions: In order to submit, first and foremost, post a fic and make sure you add it to this collection. Once your fic is posted, create a Tumblr post linking to it, and then share the link to that post in this Google form. That way, we can reblog your fic to this blog and keep everything in one place!

Deadline: The collection will close at midnight EST on Sunday, October 25th. This way we can all spend the week leading up to Halloween reading each other’s work and getting in the spirit!
