Yeah. Because they're too busy raping you.
We are unequivocally for women’s rights. It’s that simple. We believe every woman should have access to safe, affordable health care, and when that right is threatened, we’re not afraid to tackle those threats head-on.
I need feminism because “Who hired a stripper” shouldn’t be the first thing said to me when I walk into a welding job.
women in trades are treated like such fucking shit.Â
NO I’M STILL STUCK ON THIS WHY WOULD ANYONE SAY THIS TO A WOMAN HOLDING A BLOWTORCH
tell me that guy was literally torched
this really fucking bothers me cuz I was already super skeptical of all the guys imma be with in my welding class and working with in the future, and this just confirmed my suspicion that they are a bunch of macho shitheads. Great.
Fully agree with all the above comments, but welders don’t use a fucking blowtorch. Depending on the welding process, we either use a TIG, MIG torch or an electrode holder, the closest thing that can be called a blowtorch is in Oxy-Gas welding, which uses Pure oxygen and an active gas to provide heat to form a weld pool.
Also big up female welders, some of the best people I’ve worked with have been lasses :)
Ugh. That's really obnoxious. I don't mean the girl. I mean what gets said to the girl. #smh.
I need feminism because of the constant slut shaming I face whenever my bra strap shows while men walk around with their pants sagging halfway down their ass. I need feminism because why are men allowed to be bare chested when they're hot and women aren't allowed to without being called a whore or a slut or victimized. I need feminism because I was raped by two different men when I was 15 and I still haven't seen justice for their actions.
Well put and very true. You are a strong powerful individual, and I hope justice is put on those monsters for their horrid actions.
Wow. This gave me the chills.

it ok to not be ready
Please spread this shit like wildfire. People go on and sit through the whole experience and they’re uncomfortable because they just want to please their partner and they don’t tell them that they want to stop because they are not ready. It’s okay not to be ready.Â
i wish someone had told me this kind of stuff when i was younger… ಠ_ŕ˛
"The most blatant obstacle to female friendship is the prevailing patriarchal adage that "women are each other’s worst enemies." This theme has many variations, and a chorus of male voices through the centuries has echoed Jonathan Swift’s words: “I never knew a tolerable woman to be fond of her own sex.” It would be easy to dismiss this chorus by virtue of its sex or to emphasize the unintended clue given in Swift’s remark that the women whom men find “tolerable” are not fond of their own sex. So women disidentify with other women in order to make themselves “tolerable” to men.” http://www.feminist-reprise.org/docs/raymond2.htm At WoLF, we believe lifelong political and personal solidarity with other women is required to sustain a serious women’s liberation resistance movement. Our hearts are heavy with the news of Robin Williams’ passing. The world lost not only a great actor, but also a great humanitarian who spoke out for equality and reproductive freedom. We were proud to count him as a supporter.
RIP - a voice for equalityÂ
Today, women make up about half of the US workforce, and are the primary breadwinners in almost half of households with children. But they still make 77 cents for every dollar a man earns—and for women of color, the pay gap is even wider. That’s not just wrong; it’s embarrassing. To succeed in the workplace and in life, women need a fair chance to earn what they deserve and they need. It’s time to close the gap: Here’s to next Equal Pay Day being January 1, 2015!
Notice the difference in African-American Women as well as Latina WomenÂ
It really isn't fair. It's sad. Women need to be treated more fairly. When will people understand that? When will women be given the justice they deserve? It's really sad ..
#power #oppression #truth
LOL.
This was cute.
So true though ..
