BAD FUTURE KENDRATELLO AU

im still thinking of a name

Kendra and Jase actually survive in the apocalypse for 3 years or so, getting by as bandits and robbers. They only cared about each other. They've had a couple of run ins with the Resistance but were wary of big groups (let's be honest there is always a sketchy group arc of any apocalypse related show). In one devastating attack, Jase dies and Kendra gets blasted in her right side, losing her eye in the process. Donnie, who happens to collecting Kraang samples next by was about to evacuate when he gets an alert of nearby enemies until he realizes it's not just kraang energy signatures he's picking up.

Ah, Replica Leo, you were such a sweet 20-something year old before the fall of the Central Park Colony. Just trying to right all his wrongs and not get into TOO much trouble. Really missed coloring so have a quick study and some expressions. Back to the next update!

Let me add; all these kids are doing with this behavior is making new waves of puritan culture viewpoints under the guise of being a “white knight” and “helping people”. If you cannot make your own judgements and use your discernment, that’s genuinely and truly concerning. Use the block button, look away, move on.

The fact people go “I felt it was my job to” no tf it isn’t. No one ASKED. You’re doing this to feel good about yourself and get validated by people of similar mindsets. And if anyone disagrees — GOD FORBID — then suddenly you know how to use a block button. It’s ridiculous. It’s vile. It’s CHILDISH. (Duh)

I did not spend my entire young adult into adulthood trying to unlearn purist, unhealthy mindsets from how I was raised, just to be told by people a decade or more younger than me that I and all of my friends are monsters/problematic for exploring different themes with appropriate ages in — what should be — safe spaces. Some of us (probably many) were able to express internal things through fictional characters.

Let me be clear. There is not anything wrong with playing with characters when they’re older. There literally isn’t. They’re fake. They’re fictional. It’s like saying you yourself are not allowed to grow up and explore yourself because you were a child once. Do you realize how dumb that sounds? Say it out loud. Tell your parents they’re gross for having sex because they were children once. It will sound as dumb as it is, I promise.

They’re not real. Fiction is a place to safely explore themes. YES there are obviously things that are questionable in content but you know what? I look away! I scroll. I block. I don’t make big giant call out posts and go “wow I’m such a good person”. I don’t care that strongly. Yall just need a better hobby.

It’s funny in its own way. I do point and laugh most of the time bc wtf??? But I am also angry. Because with a mindset like that, you will never survive in the real world. And all you’re doing is ruining reputations and sometimes lives based on what? Vibes? “Guilt by association”?

i don’t think aging up characters for an au is generally a bad thing and i don’t think shipping the turtles with april is either i understand why these things might make someone uncomfortable but i don’t agree with the notion that these should automatically get someone accused of being “problematic”

i feel there’s a lot of people out there getting personal preference confused with morality

the block button remains free and i’m begging some people to use it more often. it’s not a “gotcha” button it’s not a “they win i lose” button or vice versa. you are the curator of your own online experience and if you’re seeing things you don’t want to see, you don’t have to keep seeing it.
