she laughs, the sound soft and clear as he poses for her. quirking a brow and making a slight face as if she were thinking about it, she nodded. the look she gives him softens his posture suddenly he doesn’t feel so defensive. It was Silena after all. He hadn’t known her well, barely in fact, but he did know she had been a traitor. A spy. An enemy. And now she was here with no explanation, he couldn’t afford to let his guard down at all.

ouch. it would be a lie to say that those words didn't sting, didn't make the back of her eyes burn a little bit. she doesn't deserve it. silena knows that. she's no hero. she's not even the one who killed the drakon, really. that had been clarisse. a breath is drawn through her lips and she looks at the younger demi-god with the smallest frown.
