apparently ruth bader ginsburg was hospitalized (again).

given that news, i just wanted to share that she literally should have died several times already in her life:

1999 - (age 66) she was diagnosed with colon cancer. underwent surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and did not miss a day of work.

2009, Feb. 5 - (age 75) underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer, was released from the hospital on Feb. 13, went back to work by Feb. 23. also suffered an iron deficiency later that year in Sept. senator jim bunning (R.) gleefully alluded to her being dead within six months, and while she did not die, he died in 2017 of a stroke.

2014, Nov. 26 - (age 81) she had a stent put in her coronary artery.

2018, Nov. 8 - (age 85) she fell and broke 3 ribs and returned to work the next day. as a result a CT scan was done, and it revealed cancerous nodules in her lungs.

2018, Dec. 21 - she had a left lung lobectomy performed. returned to court on Feb. 15, 2019

2019, Aug. 24 - (age 86) she had three wks. of radiation for yet another tumor in her pancreas.

she was able to do 20 push-ups as of her 80th birthday (so six years ago).

she literally does not give up. that whole post with a picture of her saying, “i’m going to live until things get better and that is a threat” is real.
