Yeah, yeah, Epic is not accurate. But guess what? Epic is not the Odyssey, and that's why the name is 'Epic: The Musical' and not 'The Odyssey: The Musical'. It has no need to be accurate because it wasn't the story told in the Odyssey, but a story based on it.

Meanwhile, Nolan called his film The Odyssey, claiming that what he did was the story told on the Odyssey. And guess what, it is not. It is a completely different thing. And I honestly think it is a disrespect to call it Odyssey because it is a different story inspired by it, and I feel like it is stealing the meaning of what The Odyssey is.

And, as a plus, at least the inaccuracies in Epic are there to make a new, interesting story, while inaccuracies in Nolan's film are just there to make modifications of the whole story and still calling it The Odyssey. And, in my personal opinion, many of those changes are tasteless :l

Let's begin calm: I couldn't even finish the first battle- like, what do you mean a three chapters long battle??? And not just any battle, the fucking FIRST BATTLE

I wouldn't complain if it was a battle further into the anime and if it was more relevant. But NO, is the first battle which just- don't.

Look, when you're making a TV show, an anime, a novel, you need to catch the spectator's attention, keep things interesting so our brains go like "holy moly, I want more" and even if in the three chapters there are new things that add to the plot, it is tedious as fuck, much more in the freaking start.

Like, yeah, EPIC is not accurate, after all both of them are adaptations and you can't expect them to be 100% accurate. But for Zeus’ sake guys, EPIC kept the most relevant scenes (cofcofNobodysceneimeamwhat) and yeah there are things like stabby stabby wabby Poseidon w his trident that are like very out of place YEAH i know. But it made it GOOD.

BUT GUYS- Jorge Rivera made EPIC in his room with a box of scrapes. Nolan had 250 MILLONS BUDGET- he could have done way more better than that
