Graaff's Pool featured on the cover of People's Post (12/12/13). Co-incidentally published a few days after the thesis was uploaded. I doubt this is more than a simple co-incidence but I somehow always seem to find strange occurrences in and around Sea Point. Note the all-seeing optometrist advert, top right. And consider it along with the themes of vision and obscurity that are so central to the site.

Have been given the opportunity to design the shopfront graphic for OKHA this Christmas. Should be up in the next few weeks. Image above taken from the competition proposal.

Sections from last year's thesis project: tunnel section (1195 x 594mm); pool section (1085 x 620mm); long section (3200 x 594mm)
There is still a lot of content from this project yet to be uploaded. I've had a few requests from students asking to see the theory document, hopefully it will be available here in the near future. In the meantime please enjoy these drawings and the accompanying details.
All three began as full scale hand drawings in pencil & ink. Then were scanned and layered over site photos, and various textures which were mostly scans of pencil rubbings, or manipulated paper.
