katsuki isn’t surprised to find you in his apartment when he finally gets home, three hours later than you’d usually expect him. he barely greets you with a grunt when you smile at him from his couch.
he toes his shoes off by the door, throwing them in some corner to worry about tomorrow.
he hasn’t even done any actual hero work today. nothing physical at least. just page after page of boring, useless paperwork that somehow leaves him more tired than he’d be after fighting off a villain for hours.
as exhausted as he is, he wouldn’t dream of touching anything in his apartment until he’s showered. thirty minutes later he emerges from the bathroom, a cloud of steam escaping after him. he changes quickly before collapsing onto the couch and letting his head fall into your lap. he lets out a soft sigh as your hands find his still-damp hair.
“i won’t ask you about work,” you chuckle, already sensing that it’s nothing he wants to talk about.
“please don’t,” he mutters.
he stays like that for a while. just letting you scratch through his scalp with his eyes closed and his breathing growing more and more even.
“aren’t you gonna eat?” you whisper, looking down at him even though he can’t see you.
you made dinner for yourself a while ago and of course you’d saved a tupperware for katsuki in the microwave. for whenever he dragged himself home.
“had dinner at the agency. they had catering in the lounge to say ‘thank you’ or whatever.”
you hum in response, making a mental note to move those leftovers into the fridge.
“you know mina and some of the girls are going to that new bar downtown tonight. do you wanna get out there too, maybe relieve some stress?” you suggest.
only then does katuski crack one eye open and lift his head slightly to look you in the eyes.
“you’re kidding right now, aren’t you?”
the way he glares at you has you breaking into giggles. he can hardly keep his eyes open, much less entertain your antics. even on his good days you know you couldn’t pay your boyfriend a million dollars to go out to some noisy, crowded bar. this is his ideal friday night, and if it were up to him he’d stay this way all weekend.
“you think you’re so funny,” he grumbles as he settles back into your lap. “all i wanna do right now is lay here while you watch whatever shitty movie you’ve got on, what is this anyway?”
“it’s not shitty, ‘suki. it’s a classic—gnomeo and juliet.”
i saw someone saying on twitter about a woman who said that her boyfriend was so nervous when propose her that he forgot everything and ended up just getting on his knees saying “please”.
i hope every writer who reads this makes the best of it
Someone on TikTok said they hate the tiny like subscript text (like this) especially in fics/writing and it made me wonder if people actually have a preference or feel strongly about it at all

music taste: i think he would love 80s pop / rock. billy idol, bon jovi, bryan adams ( especially reckless ), the cure, and artists / songs like that. kind of like dad rock. he's really proud of it too. says stuff like "music now is so tasteless" or some shit.
occupation: professionally i think he would do something super hands on like construction or mechanics. he might also consider going into the army, but i don't think he would be there any longer than maybe 8 years. for fun or a side job i think he would write stories, probably science fiction like " the forever war " or " starship troopers " and use his background in the military to help write it.
style: he does not care whatsoever about the clothes he wears. military / work grade boots, dirty jeans, a worn cordory jacket. he often gets good quality items and doesn't replace it until it's literaly unusable.
at first you probably thought he was an asshole, which was definitely valid considering he is. it takes an acquired taste and peeling back lots of layers to find the real porco.
has a resting mad face, he always looks like he's extremely pissed off when zoned out. even if he's calm or happy he looks very unapproachable.
he has a whole lot of attitude. sarcasm, playful insults, deadpan expressions, etc.
a horrible texter. you'd have better luck finding him in person than getting a reply from him over text. it's a toss up if he'll answer the phone.
curses a lot but not often. when he does, he does it so well. he's one of those people who really makes cursing feel cool. he can turn it off in a second though if he's in a professional setting or around children, if he cares enough to.
is surprisingly super routined. he pretty much spends every day doing the same thing and he's totally okay with that.
he has kind of a wonky smile, but it's very cute.
he literally never gets sick. his immune system is off the charts he can spend 24/7 with a someone who's sick and not feel a thing. he's often the one who takes care of his loved ones when they're not feeling well because of it.

love language: porco expresses his love through gift giving and words of affirmation. he loves to spoil you and make sure you feel seen and heard. he constantly uplifts you with his words. he doesn't even do it on purpose, his thoughts tend to escape his own mind and reveals how much he loves you and admires you. porco feels loved by physical touch. he's absolutely touch starved and is always cuddled up to you like a puppy. when no one else is looking of course.

the silence that settles between you and yuuji on the walk back to your dorm feels especially comfortable tonight for some reason. maybe it’s because winter is finally fading away and this is the first warm night there’s been in a while. or maybe it’s thanks to the fact that you’d finished your experiment a little faster than usual today, allowing you to leave your lab early.
at the end of last semester, you were annoyed to find that the only lab section with open seats left was one that ended at 9:30pm. curse the random lottery for assigning you the last class registration day.
there was nothing more annoying than finishing your morning classes only to be left with that nagging reminder that you’d have to leave your dorm once more that evening to attend a three hour chemistry lab.
and of course on the first day of classes you were uncharacteristically late due to a bus delay, leaving you with the last pick for partners. the only person left standing alone at their lab bench was a confused looking, pink haired boy who you weren’t sure would have been your first choice.
however by the end of the first lab of the semester, you learned that yuuji itadori had no problem getting to know a stranger. in just three hours you’d learned his entire course of study, the names of most of his friends, and all of his favorite movies.
and throughout the semester you also learned that yuuji had a talent for coaxing you into talking about yourself. which is how he found out the name of your dorm building and ended up convincing you to let him walk you back after each lab. he insisted that he should accompany you since it’s dangerous to walk around campus alone at night. and it really wasn’t out of his way since he had to pass your building to get back to his own anyways.
now months later you had adjusted into a routine of yuuji carrying your bag (and his own) as he walked you back to your residence hall every tuesday night. for the first few weeks, he filled your trek back with endless questions to try to do his best to get to know you. but with each passing week, he began to feel comfortable enough to just walk quietly by your side.
and even though yuuji doesn’t mind not conversing during the entire walk back, he’s been a bit less chatty than he usually is today. which is why it takes a second for your brain to register the sound of his voice when he asks you a question out of the blue.
“would you let me take you out?”
“huh? take me out?”
you’re sure you heard yuuji’s words correctly, but you think maybe your brain is betraying you after two hours spent mixing up chemicals.
“yeah. like we could go to dinner or a movie maybe. there’s this one new movie i really wanna see, it’s out next friday!” yuuji beams before his smile falls as he thinks the idea through a little more. “but if we see a movie we won’t be able to talk so maybe not-”
yuuji’s excited chatter fades to the background as a whirlwind of thoughts cloud your mind.
the way he suggests the idea is so casual, so much so that your brain doesn’t have the chance to catch up. you didn’t even think yuuji liked you in that way, always interpreting his kindness to you as something he’d do for any of his friends.
“yuuji wait, what are you even talking about?” you stop walking, even though you’re about ten minutes away from your dorm still.
“i want to take you out. like on a date. is that okay?”
“yeah but-”
“we don’t have to if you don’t want to. we could just hang out as friends.”
you know he’s telling the truth, and that he truly would take it just fine if you rejected him right now. but he still has the hopeful look in his eyes that tells you he’s serious about what he’s asking you.
“no it’s not that. i’ve just never been asked on an actual, like, date before,” you confess. you start back walking again, in an attempt to shake off some of the nerves you’re feeling from admitting this to someone for the first time.
“really? what about that guy from the beginning of the semester then?” yuuji asks, falling back into step with you.
“that wasn’t really…” you sigh, trying your best to piece together your next words.
yuuji was a bit naive when it came to college dating culture, and you really didn’t feel like having to explain your embarrassing track record of situationships to him.
“the guys i’ve been with before i didn’t really date. we just hung out sometimes and messed around. i dunno, i don’t want to talk about it either really.”
truth be told, yuuji was the first guy you’d met since starting college that had a sort of gentleness to him. unlike the boys you’d be involved with before, he was always willing to do whatever you needed of him without asking for anything in return.
from the moment he spoke to you for the first time months ago, you had a fondness for him. but after so many experiences with people who only wanted to take, you had unknowingly guarded your heart from anyone.
even silly, clumsy, kind hearted yuuji, who offers to buy you coffee in exchange for copying your notes when he sleeps through lecture and carries your bag for you even though it’s twice as heavy as his.
you find yourself grinning a little just thinking about him before his voice cuts through your thoughts.
“that’s okay, you can tell me about it some other time. but uhh… are you busy this weekend?”
and something about the dorky smile yuuji gives you lets you know that it’s safe to put your heart in his hands.
One of your post made me think of atsumu and reader possessive over each other but in completely opposite ways of each other,,, atsumu who's possessive so he shows his gf off in the "isn't she gorgeous? Yeah she is right and you can't have her cuz she's all mine" while his gf doesn't even mention about him to anyone because she's possessive in the sense "if he's mine then I get to keep him all to myself" but they both just high-key share the "others are not good enough for my partner" mentality 🤤🤤
YES this but also she’s a firm believer in the whole thing about not telling your friends/family about a guy you’re talking to bc he’ll start acting up as SOON as you start talking about him. So it probably starts out like that at first, as in not trying to jinx the relationship or whatever. But then she just lowkey forgets to ever bring him up
