I always think it's so funny when self proclaimed 'not cringe' ST fans will turn around and make fun of the "cringe" side of the fan base. (Cosplay, shipping etc) Completely failing to realize, that those people are so much truer to what the characters in the show are actually like than they ever will be.
like say what you want about Eddie Munson fans/cosplayers but I feel like some people made up this cool, suave, snarky version of Eddie in their head, when he's SO cringe.
Thats a 20 year old guy thats still in highschool, spends his afternoons playing D&D with a bunch of kids and does weird little jigs on cafeteria tables during lunch, loudly shouting at people.
And I like Eddie, don't get me wrong but people making fun of these types of fans and saying they're the reason theyre "afraid to tell people they like stranger things" seem to forget that the things they find oH So EmBAraSsInG are literally IN THE SHOW.
