While people evolve and change as they go through life, and Riful is certainly long-lived; this particular monologue strikes me as the philosophy that Riful lived by as a trainee and warrior. It makes me wonder what her awakening was like.

Difference in Speed

You can see how fast Alicia is, compared to Riful, and compared to other high ranking warriors.

She suppresses her yoki, and Jean is shocked by the rapid suppression.

Compare this to when Alicia attacks Riful, and she rapidly transforms into her awakened form, attacks Riful just as she is about to release her yoki.

Later, Riful is shocked by how quickly Priscilla defeats Alicia and Beth, and how quickly she moves from their location to hers. Not even seconds.
