BAKING SODA, BAKING POWDER AND LEMON ARE TOO ACIDIC FOR UR SKIN!!!! Stop using these ingredients. Skincare blogs are lying to u and this shit is very bad in the long term. It’s really fucking up the ph balance of your skin and is a very sensitizing ingredient!!!!

Citrus ingredients in general are phototoxic ingredients that can make your skin vey sensitive to the sun so you really want to be cautious

I learned about this when I got trained in skincare; never put lemon directly on the skin (like OP said) and be careful buying skincare products with citrus in them. You should always make sure there’s not high amounts in there and also that there’s other ingredients to balance it out.

There’s a lot of masks and washes that have concentrated amounts lemon or lime or other harsh citrus in there.

Honestly, don’t listen to those skincare posts on twitter and here.
