A castle for Environments and Characters. I got carried away I think...
A rewrite of the Greek tale that explains the constellation Cygnus for Environments and Characters. Cygnus and Phaetus were rivals and competed against each other. When a race to the Sun goes very wrong, Cygnus sacrifices his humanity and becomes a swan in order to rescue his friend. My rewrite is more urban, the two are street racers and get into a deadly accident that requires a sacrifice from Cygnus
Shape exploration from beginning of semester!
Nobody's seen this one yet, I'm presenting it today at crit, but this is my ferris wheel girl, she's pretty much a huge 80's nerd. All the bright colors were really fun, and I'd have to say this is my favorite of the three so far. If you need a refresher on the purpose of this, here's a link~

In this post, I had mentioned my junior studio project, creating a series of six vinyl figures. An addendum is that I plan on only sculpting one due to time constraints, I might even just paint one of those blank Munny figures. Anyway, this is my roller coaster, I need to tweak some things but at least he has hands! He's this sort of wannabe rocker who thinks he's cool but really he's just an asshole.
In junior studio, you choose one project for the entire semester and focus on that. I'm doing concept work for a series of six vinyl figures, designer toys are really cool and I wanted to try my hand at toy design. My theme is "amusement park rides as characters", and this is my carousel. Admittedly she should have hands. I'll fix it later, more to come!
Expressions assignment! This actually came before the hero and sidekick thing, but I forgot I hadn't posted it. ;^^
Hero and sidekick assignment for Environments and Characters, the hero is Suha and the sidekick is Munira.
For my Environments and Characters class we were asked to pick three styles and try our best to emulate them. Mine were Fleischer Studios (animated Popeye and Betty Boop), Goro Fujita (my favorite artist and concept artist for Dreamworks), and the legendary king of comics, Jack Kirby. And the character's name is Cihena, she's a space queen.

For my Environments and Characters, we were instructed to design characters based on the Chinese zodiac. I got the year of the Dragon and the year of the Rooster. The dragon character's named Viridian and the rooster girl is named Alizarin. The two are in a military unit together, and Alizarin is the general. Her advisor is Viridian, and she's a double agent for the enemy.

The last part of our grade for Digital Graphic Illustration was a semester long series of spot illustrations. The concept was to pick either the seven deadly sins or the seven cardinal virtues, and to create small 4x4 illustrations based on that.

This is a smaller version of the final project for Digital Graphic Illustration, a mock up of a poster for the iPad Mini 3. I'm working on getting a larger version, stay tuned for that in the near future!
