There's nothing to be worried about.
Text: tone down the attitude. I'm just trying to help you and there's no need to snap at Aaron!
Me tone down the attitude? How about you tell him to tone down the attitude!
text: you didn't need to be so rude to Aaron! He hasn't done anything to you.
Then tell him to mind his own business he was fucking antagonising me.
maialancaster:
Maia choked back a sob as he stood up from her. She had definitely lost him, he wouldn’t listen to her even when she wanted the best for him. She hated how their relationship had changed and maybe she was partly to blame because of that. She stood up slowly and watched him once again. “I’m not leaving you. You would never leave me if I was struggling and I’m not going to leave you.” She walked over to him and stared down at the drugs. “When will you understand you can’t lie to me? I know you and I know that look in your eyes. Please, just stop Lucas. They’ll put you in rehab or somewhere if you continue with this, you’ll lose everything. Don’t lose what you have, please.”
Lucas knew she was right, they were both too stubborn to turn their backs on each other but he didn’t want her here, not right now. “I don’t care about losing any of that. It’s all fake. Maybe not having it will show who my real friends and family are and I’d take a guess and say the numbers would be a lot lower,” he said his voice broke up as he fought to speak through the lump in his throat. “Maia, please leave. I don’t want you here,” he said turning to look at her the fight in him gone replaced with a desperation. He didn’t want her to see him like this. “Please...”
maialancaster:
“You make me happy too Lucas. Just in a different way from him and I’m always going to be grateful that I have you in my life. I’m an extremely lucky person to have met you when I did and to share those moments I had with you, I wish I can have more moments like that with you.” She kept silent at his observation and found herself listening to him once more. Of course she didn’t understand, she never took out her problems on drugs. “Then make me understand,” Maia said softly as she walked over to him and knelt down on her knees so she was looking up at him. The brunette took one of his hands and chewed on her lip. “You’re stronger than this, Luke. You don’t need to do drugs. Look I am practically begging you, I’m on my knees for gods sake. Please don’t do this, I can’t lose you in a permanent way.”
Lucas shook his head as she spoke not believing the words that left her lips. She was just saying that to make him feel better or because she felt sorry for him. She didn’t need him in her life, when he thought about it no one really did. He was just some guy who knew how to throw a football and that’s all anybody cared about. When she knelt before him he clenched his jaw and swallowed back the pain of the tears building inside him. “No...you don’t get to do this. You can’t tell me what to do or who to be,” he mumbled his bottom lip trembling. He pulled his hands from her grip and stood up once again - he needed a hit. “Unless you want to see this you should leave,” he added turning his back on her as he pulled out the little bag preparing a line on his desk. “This is who I am now, Maia. Just like you said things change for the better, right? It does make me feel better,” he laughed but it was hallow and his blue eyes were dark with pain.
maialancaster:
The brunette chewed on her bottom lip as she listened to him. She had definitely not expected that answer from him. “My summer isn’t about Bryson, it’s about Lila. I’ll see Bry for maybe a few days and then Lila is my main concern,” Maia sighed, unsure why she was trying to explain herself or the situation to him. “I miss what we had too but change happens, Lucas. And sometimes its for the better. This will be for the better too. If you want me around for the summer I can make time and visit you all.” She kept her gaze away from him and looked down at her hands. “You don’t have to worry about me. If I was who you were also worried about it. I’m fine, I don’t make a deal out of it even if I am in pain.”
Lucas sighed and flicked the butt of the joint out the window and closed it coming back over to her sitting on his desk chair needing some sort of distance still. “That’s not the point it’s just an example,” he said softly. “I get it. You’re happy and he makes you happier than you’ve ever been so it’s better for you but not for me and seeing you look at me with pity because of it all doesn’t help,” he added with a pointed stare. Ever since he had told her how he felt the look in her eyes had changed and he hated that, he wasn’t some little kid with a crush. “Again, not the point. The anticipation of not knowing created the fear that triggered this so you two could be in perfect health and I’d still be like this. You don’t understand.”
maialancaster:
“Why do you have to bring Bryson up? Yes I like hanging out with him and I did feel uncomfortable - I’ll admit to that. But then I realized I can’t live without you in my life, I had to spend months without you and now that I got you back, I can’t deal with you not around. So I came here to sort things out between us, to apologise for how stupid I was behaving.” She looked up at him and felt the tears stinging at the back of her eyes. Blinking them away she looked away from him and set her jaw. “If it’s because of the accident that has triggered this in you…Reagan is fine. Nothing happened to her, she’s okay. You don’t have to do this at all.”
“Because he matters, Maia. I know you say he’s not replacing me because obviously I was never you boyfriend, you’ve made that clear. But for a while it was just us and this past year I’ve had to adjust to you being with other guys and I know it’s selfish for me to expect you to not spend time with other people but I miss you and what we had. This Summer instead of you coming to mine or me going to yours, you and Bryson will  be doing those things and I’m just getting in the way.” Lucas stopped taking in a deep breath having said all of that without pausing. He stood up walking over to his window and sat on the ledge blowing the smoke from his joint outside. “It wasn’t just Reagan I was worried about.”
maialancaster:
Maia let out a sigh and walked over to his bed, sitting down and burying her head in her hands. “Just because I don’t feel the same way doesn’t mean I don’t care anymore Lucas. When will you understand that?” She looked up from him before looking away as soon as he began to light a joint. Maia sighed again and ran her hands through her hair. “I feel as if this is all my fault,” the brunette mumbled quietly.
Lucas felt anger flare up inside of him. He was sick of her reminding him about how she felt and how it didn’t change anything, maybe not for her but admitting how he felt and finally facing that rejection he had been running from changed things for him. “That’s not the point...you obviously don’t feel comfortable round me anymore because of it and you’d rather spend your time with Bryson, so it’s not the same.” He shifted away from her not wanting to be near her in this mood. “I didn’t say it was so stop making it about you, Maia.”
bapiper:
Piper couldn’t tell if it was early morning or just really late night. She’d been busy with things and needed a pick me up. Java Jolt was open and that sparked her interest. She entered the building and ordered an upside down macchiato with extra hazelnut and vanilla syrups before sitting down at a table near the center of the dining area. There was only one other person sitting in the vicinity and she hadn’t recognized him. She was still new to the campus. He was distressed, and Piper was definitely not one to not pry. “Hey, you okay?”
Lucas looked up to be greeted by a girl, someone he’d never met before and a smile formed on his lips - she was stunning. “Huh? Oh, I’m alright I guess...how are you?” He asked. Maybe his morning wouldn’t be so bad after all.Â
misssarahdevin:
She had this intense urge to blow off steam. Talking to her mother did that, every time. Every damned time. And even if it had been a good good while since she did speak to her mother, Sarah still felt that urge, the loss of control, the stress rising up and filling her throat, clouding her head. Meeting the very blue eyes of Lucas, she smiled thought, despite everything it felt good to see him. “Hey, oh thanks.” she replied, not sure that a skirt and singlet looked great, missing the blazer but it was nice to be complimented anyway. Walking inside her eyes flitted around the room, studying the pictures he had and colors and bedsheets, but they didn’t stop until they landed on the drugs. Oh and she knew it was too, having been around the block more than a few times in the past. Since there was nowhere else to sit, Sarah sat down at the edge of his bed. “I’m.. okay I guess.” She shrugged a little. “Didn’t know you were into this kind of stuff?” Sarah added, just curious really.Â
Lucas picked up one of the joints and lit it taking a long draw, blowing the smoke out from his nostrils. “I’m into a lot of things you’d probably not expect. What about you?” He asked with a playful smirk as he took a seat next to her and held out the joint. “Want some?”
brysondalescott:
If Bryson was addicted to anything, it was to coffee. He totaly blamed both Lila and Warren for it too, since he had ended up visiting them a lot where they worked during his first year in Charlton. It didn’t help that they were amazing at making it. So it was part of his morning routine to go to Java Jolt no matter what day it was, really. He was on his way out of the coffee shop when he spotted Lucas sitting by himself. Bryson now knew that the other guy had feelings for Maia, and he had yet to figure out what to think of that. But, really, Lucas looked pretty damn awful and tired or something, and he just decided to approach him and try to make things not awkward. “Hey,” He started. “You okay, man?” He didn’t want to say he looked like, well, shit. But he definitely looked it.
The last person he wanted to see right now was Bryson and when the other man approached him Lucas felt bitterness ooze through every pore and vein in his body. “Since when do you care?” He spat looking up from his seat with a glare. He knew deep down Bryson didn’t deserve any of this but he didn’t care and he wasn’t in the mood to fake it.Â
maialancaster:
“Yes, I did pull the Mom card.” Maia watched him, her eyes full of disappointment and sadness - there was no anger, just a numb feeling at the idea of her friend doing drugs again. “You do care about this stuff Lucas, stop acting like you don’t care because you do.” The brunette rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand and sighed. “Look, we can get you help Lucas. This can’t keep going on, something could happen to you and then what are we going to do?”
Lucas turned his gaze from her unable to handle the look of disappointment held in them. She did have a point, he cared about that stuff but why did he deserve all of this? It wasn’t fair and he was done trying to act like it was okay because it wasn’t. “Why would you care? I don’t matter to you anymore,” he mumbled reaching over and lighting up a joint. If she was planning on sticking around then he needed something to ease the tension and stress she caused.Â

maialancaster:
She put the bag down carefully on his desk, her crossing her arms and setting her jaw. “I’m not trying to be your mom but what would she think if she found out what you were doing right now? What would your sis-” the brunette stopped short, knowing it wouldn’t be right if she started talking about his family. “You have to stop, Lucas. This isn’t good for you nor is it a good way for you to cope with what bothers you.” The brunette uncrossed her arms and pointed to the bag. “We’ll find you another way to cope if that’s what you really want but you can’t do this anymore. It’ll ruin your football career if they catch you. It’s going to ruin everything.”
Lucas sat up and glared at her. “Did you really just pull out the Mom card?” He shook his head and stood up to go take the bag from the desk. He wasn’t pouring another one down the toilet. “Yea, because I do cocaine for my health,” he scoffed shoving the bag in his pocket. “So what? I don’t care about all that stuff. Don’t you get that?”
misssarahdevin:
“But.. yes mom I’ll be there. I told you already I would. I just don’t.. please don’t make me do a lot of press. And that goes for Noah too. Pictures are fine but I’m not doing interviews by myself. I’ll do one if its a family interview-” Sarah flexed her jaw, tension, tension running trough her entire body. It was great. Talking with her mother again, that was.. great. She just wished they could talk about something, anything but her fathers campaign. “Yes. I promise.” Her phone buzzed letting her know she had a text message. Thank god. “Mom a friend is calling me. Yes, I have to go. Talk to you later.” Okay so it was a small white lie. But a text was almost the same as a call. Taking her phone away from her ear the brunette read the text. Lucas. A small smile played over her lips. Quickly she found her jacket and locked her room behind her walking outside and into Ashworth, finding the right room before knocking. Her expression curious as the door opened. “Hey How are you?”Â
Not many people wanted to be around him right now turning their nose up at what he was doing and the ones who did want to be around him were trying to tell him how to live his life, so it was becoming rather lonely for Lucas. That’s why he had texted Sarah, she had seemed like fun the last time they spoke and he just hoped she wasn’t going to another person to lecture him. He just needed to be right now and work this out himself. When the door knocked he quickly jumped from his chair and opened it up with a wide grin. “Hey, you look great,” he commented, stepping aside to let her in. There was a small bag on the table and a line ready for him to have his next hit and there was a few joints pre rolled from the night before when a few “friends” were by. “I’m good. How are you?” He asked.

The brunette stared down at the bag in her hands with disgust. When she had decided to pay Lucas a visit after their awkward parting the other day, she hadn’t expected to see such a beat up version of him nor had she expected to see the drugs in his room. Or well, part of her hadn’t expected to see it. She remembered asking him in their previous encounter if he had started them up again and while the answer and discussion had been vague at that time, she hadn’t thought he was continuing with it. Slowly turning around, she held up the bag. “Why?” Maia asked quietly, the disappointment clear in her voice.Â
Lucas wasn’t sure why he’d even let her in. There last encounter had ended strangely and he thought she hated him or something so seeing her at the door had been a relief, but now he was regretting opening the door. He had gone through this with Reagan already and it wasn’t going to be any different with Maia. “You know why so can we not go through this again,” he mumbled, laying back on his ned with a beer in hand. “You’re not my Mom, Maia so don’t stand there and tell me how to live my life.”
