Fully or nearly lucid? I'd say nearly because I woke up after I realized that I was dreaming, and I forgot to write it down because I was tired but I remember that it was a really vivid dream I wish I had recorded it.

What caused you to become lucid? Someone came into my room and I noticed that the door was in the wrong place

Did you do anything specific to maintain it? No; I woke up :c

Which reality checks did you use during the day? Looking at my hands, checking for anything out  of the usual, reading text/ seeing if electronics work

Were any other techniques used? nope

But no one is required to share if they’re not comfortable with it.  I'm pretty amazed I remembered how much I did because it was the middle of the night when I woke up. I really wish I could remember more

The 3rd week is almost over. Dream recall has definitely improved. They're more vivid and I find that details of the dream come back to me throughout the day, particularly when I notice the bracelet.

#10 - End of Week 2 Report

How many lucid dreams this week? None, but came close - I had a very near lucid one the night of 8/03! It was pretty much one continuous dream, like a long movie, and while I woke up several times, I intentionally went right back into the dream - but didn’t maintain awareness that I was dreaming for very long. Skipped my meds that night. I had another very vivid one last night, but not lucid.

Do you believe the bracelet is having an effect? Hard to tell. My sleeves usually cover it, but even so, I’m still doing reality checks more frequently than I otherwise would and thinking about lucid dreaming more often.

How many dreams were you able to recall? 1 or 2 each night.

Are you recording them daily? (Be honest, please. This is an important part of the experiment, as well as the next…) I confess! I haven’t been very good about this :( I’ve been writing down keywords when I wake up but don’t have the time to write a full report in my dream journal, especially with the loooong one from the night before last.

Were you able to wear the bracelet every day this week? Yes.

How frequently you do your checks during the day (estimate)? At work, usually once every 2 hours. (It’s madness at the moment.) On the weekend, 1 - 3 times an hour.

Did you change your reality checks? Yes. Still reading and re-reading text, still trying to recall the last few places I’ve been, but instead of trying to breathe through a blocked airway, I’m looking around and asking myself “Is this the way things usually are? Is there anything different or missing?"

Did you use any other techniques? No.

Any other change in dreams? They’re longer, more vivid, easier to recall, and color is sharper, more extreme.

Any non-dream experiences that could be related? Not that I’ve noticed.

End of week 1 report

How many lucid dreams this week?- none 

Do you believe the bracelet is having an effect?- I have been doing more reality checks when I'm awake but it hasn't really carried over into dreams yet.

How many dreams were you able to recall?- 7 since the start date. some nights I recalled several a night, and some I didn't recall any. Most of them were fairly vague though 

Are you recording them daily? (Be honest, please. This is an important part of the experiment, as well as the next…)- Sometimes when I wake up, I'm too tired to record them and forget but the majority of the time I record them. 

Were you able to wear the bracelet every day this week?-yes

How frequently you do your checks during the day (estimate)?- 6 to 12 depending on what I'm doing but I try to do them consistently throughout the day.

Did you change your reality checks?- I found myself doing different reality checks each day (such as checking details and time and the mirror one day, and remembering the last few places I was, reading my bracelet, and studying my hands another day.)

Did you use any other techniques?- no

Any other change in dreams? (More vivid, easier to recall, etc.)- I've noticed that in some, not all, of my dreams there is something to do with islands; so if there is any mentions of islands I will do a reality check.

Any non-dream experiences that could be related? (Synchronicities, changes in awareness/perception, etc.)- I had a dream that I wasn't in and it was set up like a narrative.

Report - End of Week 1

How many lucid dreams this week? 0.

Do you believe the bracelet is having an effect? Sort of. There have been times when it occurs to me to do a reality check without seeing the bracelet first, which didn't happen before I started wearing it.

How many dreams were you able to recall? My dream recall has been worse thaan usual this week, partly due to disrupted sleep schedule. 5 or 6 but most of the details are vague.

Are you recording them daily? Yes.

Were you able to wear the bracelet every day this week? Yes.

How frequently you do your checks during the day (estimate)? Around every 2 hours on the busiest day, 2-5 times an hour on the less busy days.

Did you change your reality checks? No, but I'm about to. Instead of trying to breathe through blocked airway, I'll be checking details - is there something here that shouldn't be? Is there something that should be here but isn't? Any unusual details? I've had several recent dreams of being at work so if the pattern continues, I'm hoping I'll find myself in a dream and realize these aren't my real co-workers, or the chairs are the wrong color, or the information in the spreadsheet doesn't make any sense, etc.

Did you use any other techniques? No.

Any other change in dreams? The content is more strange and circular (when I'm not dreaming about mundane things like work).

It occurs to me that I'm conditioning myself to do reality checks when I see a bracelet - but how often do I see bracelets in my dreams? I could do checks every time I walk through a doorway, instead, but a doorway isn't going to remind me the way the bracelet does. And if I start that now, I'm introducing a confounding variable to the experiment.

I'd say i was nearly lucid. It was definitely not fully but it felt real-ish.

What caused you to become lucid?

The morbid content of my dream caused me to become lucid i believe. Everyone acted like it was normal when it is something that wouldn't happen in life normally.

Did you do anything specific to maintain it?

No i didn't do anything special after that to make sure i stayed lucid.

Which reality checks did you use during the day?

During the day when i read my bracelet i would check the clock look away and check again.

Were any other techniques used?

No that was around it.

Well it started off fairly normal, i was taking care of my friends little sister on her first day of high school while hanging out with some other friends in the computer lab and the my friend comes up to me and tells me she fell over and her top half was severed from her bottom half. I looked over and thats what i saw but there was no blood. I freaked out and ran through my school screaming until i found her mom who told me it was normal and it's just a condition she has. Freaky i know.t

Hello~ I'm #6

For my reality checks will be: 1. Reading either my bracelet or any other nearby words twice to see if its changed. 2. Pushing my finger through my hand. 3. Looking at my palms and seeing if the wrinkles move or if I might have extra fingers. I have been able to lucid dream since I was a pre-teen but only until 2010 learned what it was called and how to harness the true abilities. I got to a point where I thought I should take a break for a little while but then stopped writing down my dreams, I know what to do I just need to keep up the practice. I am usually a night owl but starting with this experiment I will begin to go to bed at 10 every night, perhaps 11 at the latest. I have never participated in anything like this but am looking forward to helping out and working towards my dream goals again. I am 24, living in Utah, certified Iridologist and very much into natural healing and anything related to nature. Recently I have been very much into crystals and their unique individual powers to help with specific needs. I have several stones under my pillow at the moment and they are:  Amethyst, Angelite, Citrine, Danburite, Emerald, Labradorite, Moonstone.  (If I change them I will let you know) I have found since having these stones under my pillow (especially Amethyst) My dreams have come alive, even more vivid and particular to whats happening in my life and has concentrated my thoughts. I have yet to naturally fall into a lucid dream since I sometimes use choline or the miracle worker Galantamine to help enhance my ability but I feel once I get into the routine of the reality check I can easily find my awareness. Also, Every once in awhile I try the wake back to bed technique so I sleep 5 hours, stay up for an hour and concentrate on my goal and eat a banana with peanut butter since both are rich in B vitamins which is great for the mind and dream vividness and go back to bed with my goal in mind. My main dream goals would be to casually walk around and speak to any nearby dream characters, maybe even walk around my own art museum to find inspiration and then try to recreate it in real life. I would love to meet a friend I’ve had since MySpace was around (yeah, I’m old) We’ve never met in real life but it would be interesting to possibly make contact. I would love to see my nightmare core and face it head on, face my anxiety and possibly heal my asthma or at least better my lung strength and possibly tell myself to speak more Portuguese (which I’ve dreamt before but feel like it would be great to focus on each night). I truly believe that the dream world is a connection to the spirit world. I was able to heal my mother of her pain she had for several weeks and with her permission I was able to visit her and that next morning she said it was 90% better and following that day it slowing disappeared. I definitely want to continue helping not only my inner self but the ones I love. My dream signs are: Shopping (I don’t shop very often) looking through antique stores and looking at little trinkets. Going to the bathroom or looking for one. Insects and sometimes their death, because in real life I avoid killing anything.  And talking about, telling people, or searching for books on lucid dreaming to increase my strength. My name is Nathan, and I am participant #9.

For my reality checks, I will be doing my normal two, which are blocking my nasal passage, then attempting to breath through it, as well as checking the time, then checking again to see if it has drastically changed. I will be adding a third for this, and this will be my Lucid Bracelet. I will check the bracelet to see if it is missing, and if it isn't, then I will look away and look back, to see if the words have changed.

My experience to Lucid Dreaming has been odd. I have not recently had a lucid dream, but when I do, they typically aren't as vivid as they can be. I had one very unique lucid dream one night, and you are welcome to ask me about it. Other than that, I hope that this will allow me to have lucid dreams often, and be able to make them more vivid when I do.

I normally go to bed from 9:30pm - 10:30pm every night. For mornings, I typically wake up between 6:30am - 7:30am. (I know, CRAZY right?)

I have never done any experiments or projects like this before, but I believe that this will be a lot of fun, and I am hoping for the best!

Hello, I'm number three.

The reality checks I will be using are; trying to remember the last few things that I've done, reading text, trying to breathe with my nose plugged, and trying to pass my fingers through the palm of my hand.

Once when I was little I realized that I was in a dream, but I didn't have much control over it, and since I signed up for this experiment, after I started doing reality checks, I had another one.

I have horrible sleeping habits, since I'm out of school for summer and don't have any responsibilities. I go to bed somewhere between midnight and when the sun starts to come up usually, and wake up between 10 and 2pm. 

I'm 17, and I posted this so late because I forgot that the link to join was sent to my e-mail. oops x.x

I also just started my dream journal a few days ago and my dream recall is already improving.

The Requirements.

1. Keep some sort of dream record. This can be a notepad beside the bed, a handwritten journal, somewhere on Tumblr... I highly recommend dreamjournal.net. No one is required to share their dreams, but you may absolutely link to your dream journal or post your dreams here if you want to share them :)

2. The bracelet stays on for 3 weeks. Exceptions are situations where wearing it wouldn't be appropriate (job interviews, etc). It's silicone, so showering shouldn't be a problem, but if you prefer to take it off for sleep/showers then that's fine.

Hi I'm number 2

Reality checks i'm going to use are looking at a clock, looking away, then looking back and see if the number has changed drastically, looking at my are you dreaming bracelet and reading it and blocking my breathing airways and still try to breath. Last year i tried to Lucid dream for a couple months but it only worked once or twice so i really wanna start getting back into it. During the summer i'm working at a swimming pool starting at 9 so i wake up at 7 o'clock. This is my first time doing something like this and i am really excited to share it with everyone, every morning i hope to make a post of my dream if that is encouraged. I'd like to be known as number two, i'm 16 years old and i live up here in cold canada but at the moment it is the hottest place on earth for me! I'm a lifeguard but most of my spare time is spent playing any number of instruments i play; flute, saxophone, guitar. Singing/songwriting or reading. Normally i dream about people in my life. I had one dream that i remember where i killed myself and i saw everyones reaction to my death. kinda morbid, sorry. #10 Introduction

The reality checks I've chosen:

Find text. Read it. Look away. Read it again. Did it change?

Can I remember the last 3 places I've been, or what led up to what I'm doing now?

Block nasal airway. Attempt to breathe anyway.

I had lucid dreams more frequently when I was young, but it wasn't until I was 14 that I learned the term for it and that there were ways to increase the chances of having one. I don't have them frequently, though.

Normal sleeping hours... I used to work the night shift. Now I have an office job and during the week, I go to sleep between 10 and 11:30, wake up around 6:15. I was diagnosed last year with narcolepsy so I take meds before bed and wake up in the middle of the night to take a second dose. I guess I'll be doing the WBTB technique as well, since I'm already up... Dreams have become harder to remember since starting this medication.

In high school, I wrote "L" on the left hand, "D" on the right and tried to do reality checks when I saw them. Last year, I had a bracelet made that said "Are you dreaming?" but I didn't wear it for more than 2 or 3 days at a time and wasn't consistent about doing reality checks. I was ordering another when I saw the bulk tiers and got the idea for this.

So part of it was scientific curiosity, you know, let's do this FOR SCIENCE! Part was the desire to share the wealth... and part of it was hoping that peer pressure would make me more accountable about sticking with it this time =P

I'm 26, worked as a registered nurse for 3 years (I now work in medical software), and I'm hoping that everyone experiences at least 3 lucid dreams over the next 3 weeks :)
