Drink Away the Sirens
"Of course science." He had entertained the possibility of things beyond himself out there every once in a while, but just like most people of the modern age, hadnāt actually put any serious consideration into it, still he was more of a dreamer than these two seemed to be and they were making him feel downright awkward. He mimicked Bulaās expression shuffling his foot and scratching the back of his head. He ordered another drink.
"So⦠Iāve heard thereās going to be a party in the gilded sector. A masquerade, have either of you ever been to the gilded sector before? Itās worth seeing even onceā¦"
Bula gave a near slow blink at Ouro, quirking a brow up before giving another large smile. āWell yeah I do.ā She grinned before pausing. Wait. Masquerade. āWoah woah wait so like masquerade as in like. Big poofy dresses and all that junk? That sounds a lilā too formal for me.ā Adding once again, Bula gave it some thought, resting her elbow on the table like she had done a while ago. āThough I wouldnāt mind gettinā a fancy suit er somethinā.ā
"I've lived in the gilded sector all my life." Veirl answered dryly. "It's not that special as one would make it out. It's just gilded, but there's no added value to something being gilded unless you value gold. While gold is an element, there are more components needed to make something worth while with gold. Chemicals, technology.. But it isn't technology. It's just gold." She slowed down. "And parties. Gold attracts lots and lots of dress parties it appears..." She shook her head and continued on her notes.
