I don’t know if anyone has any interest in plotting with Lucy, especially if they wanna take up the baby daddy plot? She needs friends and whatnot anyway, so yeah - message me maybe?
Notes: Adrian picks Lucy up after class, and together they get some life-changing news.
Adrian felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and he pulled it out, looking at the display. He answered as soon as he saw the number, "Hey Luce."
Lucy felt a choked sob escape her lips as she heard the boy's voice. "A-Ade..." she managed, tears flowing. "I need you to come get me."
Adrian stood up from his desk and grabbed his jacket, immediately. "Okay, I'm on my way. What's wrong."
Lucy continued to cry as Adrian spoke, something which was out of character for her. "It h-happened again... Just as I was about to go into class."
Adrian waved to his boss and left the building, his phone still pressed to his ear. "I understand. Still sick, huh?"
Lucy sighed, playing with the bracelets around her wrist as she tried to calm down. "Mhm... I hate this."
Adrian got into his car and started it, "You'll be okay, babe. I'll be there soon, okay?"
Lucy wiped away the tears that were rolling down her cheeks. "Okay... I love you."
Adrian grimaced at the sound of her voice, she was clearly crying and he was worried. "I love you too, Lucy. I'll be there soon." He started heading towards her school to get her.
Lucy sighed once more, wanting to just sob more as it became more and more obvious to her what was causing this. "Okay, baby..." she whispered, standing up.
Adrian put his phone down and sped up, nearing the school. He pulled up in front of the building.
Lucy didn't even bother to check herself over in the mirror for once, instead wanting to be with Adrian as quickly as she could. Spotting his car as she walked into the parking lot, she made her way towards him.
Adrian waved to her and leaned over to open the door. "Hey babe." He said as she got in.
Lucy climbed into the car, leaning against the window. "Thank you." she said simply, squeezing his hand.
Adrian squeezed her hand back and placed a quick kiss on it. "Should I take you home?" he asked.
Lucy nodded, offering him a weak, somewhat teary, smile. "Please..."
Adrian smiled at her warmly and began to drive, "Still no idea what's wrong?"
Lucy sighed softly, biting her lip. "I, uh... There's a few possibilities."
Adrian looked at her out of the corner of his eyes, "Yeah? Like what?"
Lucy felt herself begin to tear up again, trying not to answer his question.
Adrian looked at her, confused, but decided not to question as they were nearly at her house. "Let's get you inside, love." He pulled into the driveway and got out of his car, going around and helping her out.
Lucy took his hand once more, climbing out of the car and making her way towards the front door. "Here..." she said softly, handing him her keys.
Adrian nodded and opened the door, letting her go in and then following her. "Do you want to talk about it?"
Lucy stepped instead, kicking off her boots and sitting down slowly on the couch. She didn't want to face the facts, but she knew it was about time she did. "Pl-please don't hate me..."
Adrian came over and sat down next to her, 'What? Why would I hate you for being sick? Because I had to pick you up? I didn't mind, you know that."
Lucy shook her head, feeling herself cry once more. "It's more than that Ade..." she said, before blurting out with a sob. "I th-think I might b-be pregnant."
Adrian felt his eyes widen and his heart skipped a beat. Of all the possible things for her to say, he hadn't expected that. "Wait- wait what?"
Lucy began to cry more, holding her head in her hands. "I'm s-so s-s-sorry..."
Adrian swallowed hard, but pulled her into a hug, "You have nothing to apologize for Lucy."
Lucy whimpered, cuddling into Adrian's chest. "It's all my fault..."
Adrian shook his head and rubbed her hair comfortingly, "It's not your fault. It's okay. It's all going to be okay, Luce."
Lucy sobbed as he held her, the enormity of the situation hitting her now it was out there. "I.. N-no..."
Adrian held her tighter, trying to focus on comforting her, and not on the million thoughts running through his head, "Do you know for sure?"
Lucy shook her head, still hiding it in Adrian's chest. "N-no..."
Adrian nodded and gently moved back, moving so he was looking into her eyes, "I love you, okay? We can get through this, either way."
Lucy wiped away her tears as Adrian moved away, trying to pull herself together. "Okay... We, uh... I, uh, need to take a test.."
Adrian nodded again and wiped a tear from her cheek, "Okay, do you have one or?"
Lucy nodded her head slowly, having been given one as joke present when she moved. "Y-yeah...."
Adrian smiled reassuringly, "I can wait roght here if you want to do it now, or you can wait. It's up to you, love."
Lucy bit her lip and closed her eyes, sighing. "If I don't do it now, I'll never do it..."
Adrian understood and nodded, "Okay. I'll wait here then?"
Lucy nodded back at him. "I'll be back and we can wait for it together," she said, kissing his cheek before shakily standing up and leaving the room.
Adrian squeezed her hand before she walked off. Now was when it really hit him. What would this mean for them? For him? For her? He had a steady job and was looking into buying his own place but what about her? She was in school for christ sake.
Lucy nervously tore the package open, before peeing on the stick. As she did, she couldn't help but think what it would mean if the test was positive. She'd have to put her residency on hold and wait longer to qualify, but that was okay. At least she'd be with Adrian and she trusted and loved him more than anything. Biting her lip, but feeling a little calmer, she made her way back to her boyfriend and put the test down on the table.
Adrian took her hands in his and looked her in the eyes, "No matter what the test says, I want you to know that I love you. I knew you were the one for me the moment I laid eyes on you, and that hasn't changed."
Lucy reached up and kissed him softly, squeezing his hand. "I love you more than anything Ade, and I always thought we'd be together forever. Maybe this might happen earlier than we'd like, but I trust you and we'll deal with it."
Adrian smiled and captured her lips with his own, he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. If their family started a little earlier than expected then, well, he was sure they'd be happy either way.
Lucy snaked her arms around his neck and kissed him back. Being with Adrian felt right, and the idea of a baby that was the perfect combination of them both excited her. They weren't naive teenagers either, their life together would be stable.
Adrian smiled at her and rested his forehead against hers, "We'll make it work."
Lucy nodded slowly, smiling at him. Checking her watch, she bit her lip. "It's time..."
Adrian nodded and gave her a reassuring smile, "You've got this."
Lucy shook her head, still looking at him. "You check, please..."
Adrian swallowed and squeezed her hand, "You don't want to check yourself? Are you sure?"
Lucy shook her head, squeezing his hand back.
Adrian nodded and took a breath, "Here goes..." he leaned over and looked down at the test. His heartbeat picking up at he saw the little plus sign. "Positive." he said quietly.
Lucy froze in her tracks at his words, taking a minute to register what had been said. "Oh... Right..." she managed as she looked down to confirm it for herself. She wasn't sure what to feel, but she knew their lives were about to change forever.
Adrian looked at her, his eyes wide, "So... we're having a baby?"
Lucy looked back up at him and nodded. "We're having a baby, Ade," she said with a small smile.
Adrian took a deep breath and shook his head with a little smile, "Wow...I... I don't really know what to say right now, you know?"
Lucy reached up and kissed him softly, leaning back down and looking into his eyes. "Everything is going to change now."
Adrian nodded and wrapped an arm around her, leaning back into the couch and pulling her with him, "No kidding... does anyone else know? Are you going to tell Gabe? He might kill me.... Oh god. Do I need to borrow my dad's shotgun?"
Lucy shook her head at him, leaning into his chest. "I haven't told anyone yet. Linden suggested it to me when I said I felt sick, though," she said before laughing weakly. "He's going to find out at some point, Ade. And I suggest we tell him before anyone else."
Adrian shuddered, "I don't want to be murdered by your brother. I have to tell Julie, too. She's going to freak out."
Lucy nudged her boyfriend, shaking her head. "I hope he'll be okay. He won't kill you though, because he knows that will upset me."
Adrian chuckled and pressed a kiss to her cheek, "Well don't judge me if I look behind me a lot more lately."
Lucy took his hand, playing with his fingers. "When do you want to tell people?"
Adrian looked down at their hands and shrugged, "The longer we wait the more pissed off people will be that we kept it from them."
Lucy bit her lip and nodded. "Probably... It'll need to sink in first though.!
Adrian chuckled and closed his eyes, "It might take a while."
Lucy sighed, leaning into him. "It's crazy..." she whispered softly. "Um, Ade... You definitely want to keep it, right?"
Adrian looked into her eyes and smiled, "With all my heart, Lucy. It's our child, whether we were expecting it or not, that changes nothing."
Lucy smiled back at him, squeezing his hand. "You're perfect, you know that? I love you so much."
Adrian leaned down and kissed her forehead, "I love you more than anything, Luce. We'll have the best baby in the world, okay?"
Lucy nodded her head, snuggling into him. "The best baby ever," she said, looking up at him. "We'll work things out, right?"
Adrian smiled warmly and nodded, "Everything will work out, I promise." Then a thought hit him and he blurted out, "Why don't you move in with me?"
Lucy paused for a second, biting her lip. "Really?"
Adrian smiled sheepishly and nodded, "Well it makes sense right? I've been thinking about it for awhile and... I don't know. If you think that it's moving to fast then that's okay, I understand."
Lucy shook her head, laughing softly. "We're hardly the couple to talk to about moving too fast... I'd love to move in with you."
Adrian quirked his head to the side and laughed lightly, "Does that bother you?"
Lucy kissed his cheek and smiled. "No, because being with you feels right and I'm happy."
Adrian kissed her softly and smiled, "Good, I want you to be happy."
Lucy leaned into him, smiling back. "Guess we need to look for a child friendly apartment now..."
Adrian laughed and smiled, "That's true. Whoa my parent's are going to freak out. They're going to be grandparents...."
Lucy widened her eyes, nodding. "So are mine... Wow..."
Adrian chuckled, "This is big, huh?"
Lucy laughed softly, nodding. "Very big."
Adrian smiled, "What now?"
Lucy smiled at him. "We need to get an ultrasound, I guess.."
Adrian nodded thoughtfully, "What about Linden?"
Lucy shook her head. "No, I don't want him to be our doctor."
Adrian looked at her with a little smile, "Do you have someone in mind?"
Lucy shrugged her shoulders, playing with his fingers. "Not really, no."
Adrian smiled warmly as he had an idea, "My mom is a doctor?"
Lucy looked up at him and smiled. "How did I forget that? She'd be perfect"
Adrian chuckled, "She's so weird that it's easy to forget."
Lucy laughed softly, nudging him. "You think she'd do it?"
Adrian nodded, "Of course. She'd be honoured, I'm sure."
Lucy smiled back at him, squeezing his hand. "Okay, then."
Adrian smiled, "I'd recommend telling Gabe soon."
Lucy nodded slowly. "I'll do it tonight, I guess."
Adrian thought to himself for a moment then chuckled, "You know you're going to get really cranky."
Lucy slapped him softly. "Better behave yourself then," she laughed, before winking. "Horny too."
Adrian raised his eyebrows and smirked, "Well I can definitely do something about that."
Lucy grinned back at him, raising an eyebrow. "Oh yeah?"
Adrian pressed a kiss to her lips, "Oh yeah."
Lucy kissed him back forcefully, wrapping her arms around his neck.
Adrian lifted her onto his lap and kissed her passionately.
Lucy nipped his lip slightly as they kissed, moving closer to him.
Adrian smiled against her lips and rested his hands on her hips.
Lucy wrapped her legs around him, closing the gap.
Adrian pulled back slightly, breathing heavily, "I love you Lucy Walker."
Lucy rested her forehead against his and smiled. "I love you too, Adrian Moroe."
Adrian looked at her and his eyes widened, "I'm going to be a father."
Lucy nodded, playing with his tie. "You are, Daddy."
Adrian swallowed hard and laughed, "I can hardly believe it."
Lucy laughed with him. "It's crazy, huh?"
Adrian nodded, "Yeah, beyond crazy. But I'm really happy about it..."
Lucy squeezed his hand and smiled. "I'm happy too, love. I actually am."
Adrian laughed, "There's no one I'd rather start a family with."
Lucy leaned into him, smiling. "Me neither. You're the perfect boyfriend, and you'll be the perfect dad."
Adrian wrapped his arms around her and smiled, "You're perfect."
Lucy shook her head. "Not as perfect as you."
Adrian shook his head, "No way."
Lucy rolled her eyes. "Yes way."
Adrian laughed and kissed her, "You're going to make a great mom, Lucy."
Lucy absent mindedly rested her hands on her stomach. "I hope so..."
Adrian smiled, "I know so."
Lucy nustled into Adrian, yawning slightly. "Love you."
Adrian brushed her hair with his fingers, "Love you too. You sound tired."
Lucy nodded slowly, snuggling up to him. "It's been intense."
Adrian smiled softly, "That's true."
Lucy: up to you, love. we can do a seperate chatzy of them waking up tomorrow
To the woman in the store who was judging me, I never liked you anyway and, for your information, there is nothing wrong with buying four pints of ice cream and three packs of oreos.
