whilst sketching the personality for her barbie, anita designed the doll with the modern indian woman in mind - someone who is confident and proud of her indian roots, the young india. this barbie is a huge symbol of empowerment for brown girls across the world!

rant: how many “guides” do you need before you simply start applying the knowledge and improving using what you already have? you cannot rely on content creators to teach you the things that are easily found elsewhere (youtube, BOOKS, twitter threads, other blogs, tiktok, lived experiences) for everything in life. @kelseytheballerina and @knnangll have both talked about what i call “information hoarding” before and quiet as it’s kept, you can only use content for INSPO. what worked for your favs isn’t going to work for you identically. trust me. you have to take what resonated and leave behind the rest. you have to DO SOMETHING. instead of asking these creators for even more blueprints on life, try making your own content based on your journey/what you plan to do/what’s worked for you? people wanna see that just as well. reblogging hair and nail guides, liking someone’s pilates routine, etc all aren’t going to do shit for you until you get up and do something.
