Project {Souda and Komaeda}

"Was just sayin’! Ain’t need to get all defensive on me now, Komaeda.” A cackle was performed once Souda spoke the single sentence, leaning back in his chair just a bit with a remaining smirk on his lips.

Continuing to tap the eraser tip against his bottom lip as he tried his best to pay closer attention to the speaking male, raising his brows a few times as he did so. It was sort of an odd habit he had, but he never quite noticed it himself. Pretty amusing to be watching from the other side of the conversation, maybe. Kicking a leg up onto the desk, he placed the other over his leg and wrapped his arms behind his head with a grin beginning to appear once again. A grin like Souda’s would be very charming if it weren’t for his odd teeth. Of course, maybe someone would like the view.

Thinking to himself, he then nodded finally as an answer to Komaeda and set the chair back down along with his arms and legs, now standing up with a swing at his bag over his shoulder, “Let’s head to th’dorms. Libraries are usually packed with students and I can’t really stay quiet if I get too excited with this project— N-Not that it seems fun or anythin’ like that.. Nah. Nah a-at all.”

"The dorms it is, then. I'll try to remember not to excite you too much." Komaeda smiled, hoisting his own bag over his shoulder now.

The two of them walked out once the bell had rung to leave school, Komaeda shuffling along a bit awkwardly beside the other. He wasn't quite sure what to say at times like this, but he got a better look at the other boy now. Souda was much shorter than him, but also a lot muscular it seemed.. And his smile was a bit off-putting, it almost made him look like some kind of shady villain! It didn't bother Komaeda too much, though. It was just a bit of an odd sight to look at.

"....."

Stuffing his hands in the pockets of his green jacket, he looked away from the other when he thought he heard his name being said not too far off. Looking back he could see two or so people looking in their direction, turning away immediately. They were probably talking about him, right? It was probably odd to see him actually walking with one of the other students... He shouldn't be surprised..

"Oh! Souda.." Coming to a realization after a moment, he turned to the other. "I forgot to ask, do you want to go to my dorm, or yours?"

Project {Souda and Komaeda}

The hinted word of how Komaeda might have known the fact that Souda was indeed not paying much attention was what made Souda clear his throat rather loudly with a sweat drop running down his cheek.

Coughing at the attempt to clear up his throat once more, he rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous laugh, cocking his head to the side as he slowly looked away with a shiver at his smile. Of course, he felt embarrassed by being found out about his little act which he pulled off, but all he could do was shrug it off with a sigh that was combined with a snicker; now having a more relaxed-type of smile on his face.

"Oi, oi— That sounds fine. But hey, remember that I ain’t gonna be doing all the work now. As much as I love working with my tools an’ all, we gotta work together on this, alright?"

"Hey- I know my talent is pretty useless compared to yours, but that doesn't mean I'm going to dump all the work on you because you're a lot more skilled than me! Of course I'm going to work together with you!"

"But.. If we've got that settled now, I guess we could start doing research and such.." He trailed off, tapping the eraser of his pencil against his chin. "The final project isn't due for a few weeks, but we have a due date for research soon. And it's better to get at least little bit of it done anyways, right?" Looking up at the clock, he realized school was nearly over, and most of the other students were already packing up.

Twirling his pencil with his fingers before tucking it into his backpack, he stood up and pushed his chair back over to where it was before. "We can walk over to the library or the dorms or something if you're not busy, that way we can get it done faster. ..It's alright if you can't, though.. I'd be fine with doing it on my own."

Project {Souda and Komaeda}

After stomping his foot quite loudly at the tiled floor beneath him, he slowly sat back down at his seat and sighed with a frustrated groan to himself as he kept his eyes glued onto the other. Narrowed eyes still in place, Souda rested both of his arms on his desk as he allowed to himself to continue listening onto what the other had to say.

Placing a pencil straight into his mouth, he began to chew at the eraser out of boredom, trailing his eyes right down at the notebook which was slapped onto the desk quite gently. Glancing up every now and then as the other continued to speak, Souda would focus more on the turning pages rather than the moving lips in front of him.

"Ah-huh, ah-huh…." Not paying much attention to what Komaeda was beginning to say now, he leaned himself back on the chair and tapped the top of the pencil against his lower lip lightly. Once a certain word was said, Komaeda was now having Souda’s attention. Eyes widening sharply, he quickly leaned forward as he slapped the pencil straight onto the desk and smirked, "Ye, that’s right. It’s pretty fun, actually. That is— If ya’ got the right mindset to do the things ya’ gotta do when being one, ya’ know?"

"It ain’t all that easy, but for me? It’s easy as picking up a dollar straight from the ground.”

After a while, he had begun to suspect that the other wasn't really listening- he expected it, really- but he jolted when the other leaned forward so suddenly.

"Aha, is that so..? Wow..." That wasn't exactly the best example to use, but he understood him nonetheless. "That's really amazing, though.. Such a wonderful talent coming to you so easily..!"

"Ah-! Maybe we should do our project on that, then! Seeing as you know a lot about machines and how they work, and how interested you were in the other topics.." Giving a small narrow eyed smirk at the other, it was obviously a stab at how he wasn't listening earlier.

"But, since the project is on the history of modern day items, maybe we could do it on machinery you might know about..? It's up to you, though, I'm fine with whatever you decide of course!"

Project {Souda and Komaeda}

A twitch was occuring straight to Souda’s upper lip right as he heard the word ‘project’ being spoken. Although, Souda wasn’t a big party pooper for projects, he would have rather just work alone as seeing that he has his own projects up his sleeve which he enjoys doing in his own time. Shrugging with a pout, he raised a brow as he got slapped right in the face once he heard the name on who he was being paired up with. Komaeda Nagito. He didn’t know much about him, but he has heard a few things. Being a bit gullible, Souda did attempt to look over to the other with narrowed eyes, squinting only a bit as he noticed that the other male was indeed approaching.

Coughing up a storm from being suddenly embarrassed from possibly being caught staring, he tucked his hands straight into his pockets with a twitch once again, spinning on the heel of his shoes to face the other. Holding his chin high up with an adjust at his beanie, Souda bit the inside of his cheek as he tilted his head at the other.

"Oi."

Not much of a proper introduction, but he continued to have his ears perked up as he listened to the other speak. Huffing loudly right when the other said a certain name, Souda clenched his fists and pounded at the ground once with his foot in annoyance, “Hey! Ya’ ain’t gotta bring anyone up! This is between you and I, and that’s final! Hmph… Gck, anyways.. Ye’. I’m your partner. Your my partner.”
