he showed up in our main Eberron campaign a while ago accompanied by the emperor’s sister and I had to put him in some fancy hanfu 💖💖 it’s the most surreal feeling to see an old pc become an npc but in the BEST way, I trust the dm with him completely and really want to see what he’s up to and how things play out!

THE EMPEROR

Aryses was once the king of an ancient seaside nation, but when he found out he was fated to die no matter what choices he made, he walked away to become an Arbiter of Fate’s games to save himself. In time his kingdom fell, and many centuries later, he decided he had enough and chose to reenter the world to stop Fate and its whims.

I was invited to join my friends’ campaign that they had been playing for years, and we decided to bring in a character at such a high level by tying him into the deeper background story. It’s a super unique way to make a character and I’ve never done anything like it, and playing his secrets close to the chest until everyone got to learn it was a VERY fun challenge. I wanted to make him feel like he knew more than he should based on what he told them, and apparently I pulled it off!

Super grateful they let me come in and I love him a lot, seeing the dynamic develop between this deeply connected party and a solitary outsider has been a lot of fun!
