zhao-daisy:
Daisy hadn’t expected the island to be like this, so confusing and troubling. Still she got to the place, and she was going to see May - Lucy. She went by Lucy now.
She wanted just to tell her that she was her mother, but she didn’t know how to. It hurt - but she’d just be the tutor. She could do that. She really could. However suddenly something rammed into her - someone more accurately. Then she was being pulled by a smaller figure.
When she heard her voice her heart skipped a beat which allowed May to push her into the closet. Still she stayed quiet mostly out of shock.
Her daughter was right in front of her and Daisy didn’t know what to do.
“Miss Meadowes I take it?” She said softly trying to confirm.
Lucy was so engrossed with the world past the door, her usually playful grin firm on her lips as she waited, half in love with the anxiety in the game she’d begun. But as the woman spoke, all of it fell away, her blood going cold for a moment as she turned to face the woman who, with her luck, would be her tutor.
“Tutor? Well I’ll have you know--” Lucy began, ready to argue her stance until her eyes met the woman’s, voice falling to nothing as a wave of familiarity hit her. What had Kai said her name was? She was grasping for it, and Lucy wondered if she’d even been told at all. Still, there was no way she could have known the woman. She remembered every foster family she’d ever had and Lucy never stayed long to form relationships. If she’d known this woman, she would have remembered. She’d have to.
But she still couldn’t shake it, the way something deep inside her pulled to the woman like a moth to flame.
“Lucy. It’s Lucy.”
