“We have—” He cut himself off to swallow his bite. “We have to stop in Japan probably, or my grandmother will kill us. Also, you’ll like Akihabara and Harajuku. Geek heaven.” Satoru paused for another moment, thinking it over. “Obaasama will probably insist on presenting you with the wedding kimono, just to take pictures. If you don’t mind.” He rolled his eyes. “It’ll probably be, like, prom or something. In kimonos.”

"I like that." Lucy said.  "Kimono prom." She smiled and picked at her food.  Just as she started to take a bite she remembered, "OH!  And we have to go to Hamamatsu.  I have some friends there.  Chika, mainly." She took her fiancee's hand across the table, her red-painted nails glinting against the lights of the diner. "I can't wait, love.  It's like all my dreams are coming true."

She laughed, taking a sip of her wine. “I’ll put a post-it on the stove as a daily reminder.” She teased, leaning against her chair. She smiled, looking at him. Something was a bit off. Or maybe just because she hasn’t seen him in a while. “Maybe we should get these plates cleaned huh?” She said to him, reaching out to touch his hand. Her brows furrowed noticing his hands were a bit cold. “Danny, are you okay?” She asked, concern shown on her face.

“Yeah I’m okay I’m just…” he smiled at her. “Thinking. I’ve been thinking.” He should have written something down, should have planned something. For some stupid reason he thought this would be easier. But he was so scared she’d say no. He took a deep breath. “I’ve been thinking about how much I love you C, and how happy you’ve made me since we’ve gotten together. I think about it all the time.” It was getting easier to speak now that he had started. “And lately, all I can think about is how much I want this to continue. How I want you and I to be part of each other’s lives forever. I want to grow old with you, Cassandra. I want to start a family with you, to fill up that house we just bought until it’s bursting like your home back in Italy. And I want to be with you for the rest of my life,” somehow he had ended up on the floor, on one knee in front of C. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring. “So I guess what I’ve really been thinking is, Will you marry me C?”

He hummed in thought. “Let’s go on a world tour. Or something. Pick a few countries here, and a few cities there. We’ve got all the time in the world, after all.” Satoru grinned at her and accepted his food from the waitress, stuffing nearly a third of it into his mouth at one go. He didn’t eat often in the lab when he was really and truly engrossed in an experiment, and this was probably his first real meal of the day.

Lucy's face probably physically brightened when Satoru proposed his idea.  "World tour!"  She grinned thinking of where they could go and where she hadn't yet gone.  "That sounds amazing, honestly just perfect."  She didn't even notice when Satoru practically shoved the plate in his mouth, caught daydreaming there in the diner.

Beth is now about nine. From what I’ve seen in pictures, yeah she has gotten pretty big. Puck has a scrapbook full of pictures of her.
