“Nothing wrong with that.” Marcus leaned over and kissed her cheek gently. “I know you do.” He looked back at her, he reached out and touched her cheek gently. “Hmmm either is fine with me. What are you in the mood for? Do you want to go get some fresh air?” 

She smiled softly, looking up at him. “Hm.. I think some air could be nice actually, yeah.” Lucy nodded. “We could go to the river or something?”

Marcus had been coming home on time and such since moving here and working at the station. Today though was his day off, so naturally he did his morning running and he was just coming back from that. Moving over to her after he came into the house. “Staying I’ve got the day off. So I am all yours.” He noticed the photos after he went over to her. “What are you thinking about?”

Lucy shrugged, looking back down at the pictures with a little sigh. “Just... going down memory lane, I guess.” She sighed. “I miss her.” So much. She looked back up at him, deciding not to bring up the Tim stuff. “You wanna stay in and watch movies or head out somewhere?”

Lucy was sitting in the living room looking at some old pictures of her sister. Of course memories of Tim were flashing in as well, though she wished they would disappear forever. She sighed, glancing up when she heard Marcus come in. “Hey... Dad’s coming to get the kids for the afternoon. Were you staying or did you have to go work?”

“You love me.” He grinned, as she playfully nudged him. Once she helped him with his tie, he felt better. Honestly he would be lost without her. She was everything and more to him. “Let’s go.” He grabbed the car keys, following them all out.

“Wow, I’m glad nothing like that happened at our wedding.” She joked dryly, a bit annoyed that had happened on her friend’s big day but at least the woman was gone. She walked outside after the ceremony arm in arm with him, the kids running a little way ahead. “We don’t have to stay late if you don’t want to.” She said, looking up at him. Maybe he’d want to work on something.

“You alright?” She smiled as she came up and wrapped her arms round her. “Congratulations - everything’s been gorgeous... I’m sure no one will even remember that idiot tomorrow.” She made a face, meaning Jackie. “Anyway, I’ve got some pretty awesome shots, can’t wait for you guys to see them.”

Marcus couldn’t help but smile more as she took the camera bag. “I think you would be lost without me.” He teased lightly, his hands going to fix his tie the best that he could. “Yeah, the kids are ready. The present is in the car.”

“Oh, shut up.” She joked, giving him a playful nudge as she swung the camera bag over her shoulder. She moved her hands up to help him fix his tie, chuckling. “Alright. Perfect, come on then.” She turned to the kids. “Come on - car!”

“The twins are ready to go.” Marcus moved over to a box and started looking through it. “Found it.” He grabbed her camera stuff and moved over to her. “Here you go, love.” 

Lucy was frowning as she tried to decide what to do if she couldn’t find it but then Marcus said he had it. She turned and smiled, chuckling as she reached for the bag which held her camera etc. “Oh, thank God.” No way was she not having her camera today. “Right... got everything?” She glanced from him to the kids.

Brooke couldn’t help but smile more, hearing that her friend was back for a good this time. She had loved many but she truly loved Lauren. And it seemed like her wife to be took her for everything including her past and still loved her unconditionally. “Good. I’m glad that you are back, back.” She smiled. “That makes sense completely. I basically have roots here. Which I never thought that I would want here. So I get it and understand completely not running anymore.”

Lucy nodded a little. “Yeah, I think I might be too... just gotta settle in. I think Jayden’s happier than Vicki to be back, I’m pretty sure he had a girlfriend when we left.” She laughed, shaking her head at the thought. “Yeah. Well, hey, we can not run together then.” She joked.

“So am I. It was a long road but we got here.” She glanced at the kids as well. “It most certainly is but she still manages everything. I don’t know how she does it but she is amazing.” Her eyes went back to her friend. “She probably does. Somewhere far away. Now tell me are you guys back back or just staying for a bit?”

Lucy smiled, happy for her friend because it sounded like everything was falling into place for her and this was a big deal. Getting married. God, she could remember how wary she’d been about loving again after Tim but Marcus was really her hero. “I think back back.” She chuckled. “I don’t want to keep uprooting the kids... I love Wales and Marcus’s family but something keeps bringing us back here so I think we should listen to that. My dad’s here, Vic’s daughter, I wanna get to know her better. And anyway, I’ve got to stop... running away, you know?”

“Don’t get me wrong I cared about Evan but it’s different with Lauren completely.” She smiled, before taking a sip of her coffee. “I think we are both nervous. But she does have a lot on her plate. She’s surprising me so hopefully.”

Lucy smiled, nodding. “Yeah, I get it. I’m glad you two managed to get here.” She said, sipping her own coffee and glancing at the kids before turning back. “I’ll bet. Good about the promotion but I bet it’s mental at the station.” She made a little face. “I’m sure she’s got somewhere great planned.”
