An amazing thing happened... I traveled to Santa Cruz and returned to my duty of portraiting at the farmer’s market. A beautiful baby was born just a few days earlier, and her parents were excited to have a drawing in arms. Then the mom looked at me long and hard and said, yes, it’s you. We’ve met before! I laughed, and said what? Then suddenly remembered - I had drawn these two on Westcliff the week the COVID scare started. It was a lovely experience to capture them - and meet them again two years later with a child in arms! Amazing. She was delighted to have both artworks displayed and sent me this photo to post.
