The whole idea that John somehow corrupted Paul is so laughable. Like, if you look at pictures of them when they were younger, at the same ages, but not the same age at the same time, lol, there's John standing there in his short pants and knee-high socks... There's Paul reading a comic during a class photo, and then mean-mugging for the camera in his Scout's uniform. Not Earth shattering, but still. What they found in each other was a partner-in-crime. Someone who was unlike the other friends they had, each urging on the other to get up to no good.

Then she proceeded to out her deceased husband as bi or queer

So the whole " he would've been " part falls apart since he actually could've been a good threat since john has that capacity to love men, and she confirmed that paul could be the type of person he could love

That's enough proof for me ! John was in love with paul, and it's basically confirmed for me :)
