Assignment #2

It’s become obvious to me that a few of you may need something to help you better understand how to make incredible art!

There are some basic terms and things to know about art, and here are some of the most fundamental.

Your homework is to figure out what they all mean, and draw me something that shows how to successfully use one or more of them in a drawing. ( hint, use them all and you’re doing super great!)

texture

value and

color

I look forward to what you show me, and thanks again for your egg projects! At the end of the year I’ll ask you to do them again, and you can compare the two and see how much you’ve grown. These are excellent! I love them all, and will be posting them outside my classroom.

Also, I’m thinking of starting a multiculture club to do cultural events around the school! Is anyone interested?

Negative Egg For Project One

Well, kids. If any of you are out there.

The first thing I’m going to ask you all to do when you come to class is an exercise in negatives.

Should you all be willing to participate in my extra credit, I’d like to issue this challenge. You must draw for me a white chicken’s egg, using any color except white. You must color around the egg, to make the egg apparent and beautiful. You must beautify the negative by filling the positive around it. I look forward to seeing your work!
