The Eye sees.

A ship into the ocean

A hundred souls

A hundred dead

The Eye watches.

Don't look behind

Don't look ahead

Don't look inside

The Eye follows.

They were unfortunate

They looked behind

They saw the Eye

The Eye embraces.

A madness unbeknownst

A sailor feasting

A sailor being feasted

The Anathema of the ocean

The Scourge of the Seas

"The water beneath the Old Vengeance turned a sickly scarlet. The sailors didn't pray nor cry. Their hearts were neither filled with dread nor bravery.

The acceptance of the End. The descent into Oblivion. Madness unbeknownst.

You cannot outrun fate."

the One below

He who is unknown, He who is below

The mariner's fear; The sailor's dread.

Beware the captain who sails

Who sails the dark ocean

The tails are seen, the waves are still

A young boy screams; an old man cries.

Please, God almighty

Please help us.

The air is pain, the screams in vain

The sea turns red; the prayers stop.

The One below awoke

The One above slept

The ship is falling, the lives are gone

Happiness lost; fear unknown.

Bodies litter the ocean floor

The One goes down below

The Leviathan

"I saw red.." a young mariner kept repeating,

The bartender chuckled, "And how are you here, little one?"

"I saw red.."

In the darkness of the ocean, a place where the sun's gentle light never reached, dwelled a monster. A being so ancient, even the gods up above couldn't point to its origins. A whale larger than the largest of whales, a crocodile sporting a million teeth, or even something entirely different. No one knows its appearance, for when a sailor spots the myriad of tentacles sprouting from the ocean, only a cry can be heard;

"The Leviathan!"

Words that most mariners hear once in their lifetime.

"Turn to starboard!" The captain yelled. There was a sliver of hope. Some survived, the old man thought. But that ember was extinguished, for when the water beneath the ship turned to red, their fates were sealed.

The gaping maw of the Leviathan opened, and to the bystander at the beach, a ship plummeted into the sea.

No one knows why it hunts ships; some believe to be their cargo, others place their bets on sheer misfortune. But as the popular mariner saying goes, "When you see red, embrace death."
