"You're infuriating," Larissa muttered, barely restraining the smile that tugged at the corner of her mouth. If she were anyone less reserved, she would let it take her over, rather than it threaten her composure.

Morticia's brow arched, that mischievous glint in her eyes that Larissa hated to love.

"And you're just stubborn," she batted her dark lashes, further weaving her fingers through Larissa's.

There was no arguing with Morticia.

And Larissa — no matter how much she'd let herself pretend she wanted to — would never be the first to let go.
