“Well, I did say I wasn’t judging.” She countered, speaking with full of confidence like it was some good counterargument. “It’s not my fault you’re reading too much into it. How are you going to pull this off?” 

"okay, fine, i believe you.  you were not judging me," luka replies with a slight smile. "well, you see..." they trail off after a moment. "maybe i really didn't think this through." trying to tip a canoe with one of poseidon's kids in it, without the help of one of poseidon's other kids, is mostly futile.

“Constellations,” Amy replied. “What are you doing up so late?” she asked them.

"would you believe me if i said i couldn't sleep?" they reply. "a child of hypnos, unable to sleep.  it’s practically unthinkable." they cast a glance to her sketchbook, unable to really see anything she's drawn. "wanna show me any of those constellations?"

"that's... yeah, that's not the kind of thing you apologize for. though, once you’ve found your arrows, you could always apologize to them for losing them.." they crack a grin at the thought of that happening. "have you checked the armory?"

Berry shook his head. “It doesn’t need an explanation. It’s false. Just like the sign.” He raised an eyebrow. “Come on man. Can’t you tell? I’m just trying to see see how people would react?” 

"no explanation. got it." they don't really, but they also figure it's not worth continuing down that path of questioning. "so how was my reaction, was it just what you were expecting?"

“i’m - false?”  the confusion is easy to hear in luka’s voice as they look up at berry.  “that doesn’t make a lot of sense.  maybe try explaining this whole false situation some more.  like - why do you have that sign?”

“for someone who’s ‘not judging,’“ luka replies, hands going up to make air quotes, “you sure sound like you’re judging.  and besides, it’s not like you didn’t agree to along with my plan.”  they’re more than willing to take full credit for the admittedly less than great plan, but it wasn’t like they’d forced her to go along with it.

Amy was sketching constellations while sitting on the porch of the Hecate cabin. She looked up when someone approached. “Oh uh, you can sit if you’d like, I don’t mind company.”

luka could try and reason with themself, try and figure out why they were up so late, but they know they’d end up with barely any answer.  they’re out taking a walk around the camp, enjoying (or, rather, trying to enjoy) the night air when a voice breaks through their thoughts.  “sure,” they respond, easily settling down next to and getting comfortable within seconds.  “what’re you drawing?”  now that they’re seated, it’s almost a struggle to stay awake but - she did say she wanted company, and luka was there to help with that.

“have you tried maybe apologizing?”  maybe it’s a bit much, too assume that he’d made a mistake that wound up with someone else getting hurt (emotionally or physically), but it wasn’t like christian had given much for luka to go off.  “what mistake did you make?”

is that EZRA MILLER? no, that’s just LUKA WEBER! they are a TWENTY-THREE year old child of HYPNOS. their alignment is UNDECIDED because BOTH SIDES HAVE GIVEN THEM GOOD INCENTIVES. some say they are OPEN-MINDED and RESOURCEFUL but i’ve heard others say they can be SARCASTIC and LAID-BACK.

although born in munich, germany, luka ended up growing up in milwaukee, wisconsin, after they and their mother moved their when luka was three years old.  it was there that luka’s mother fell in love and wound up getting married.  her new husband also already had a child* he was bringing into the family.  life was good and easy.

when luka turned nine, a satyr found them and brought them to camp half-blood, where they stayed as just a summer camper for three years - until tragedy struck, and both their mother and step-father were killed in a car accident.  after that, luka became a year-round camper.

while they’d rather spend their time sleeping or lazing the day away, they are attending a college in new york city, slowly trying to earn a degree in psychology.  but with a war seemingly starting to brew and them having not chosen a side, they’ve started skipping more classes than usual.
