Matilda was about to leave, but watching the way he reacted to her anger made her curious. She mentally kicked herself for what she was about to do, but she followed him right back into the tent and sat down. She took his face in her hands and examined him closely.
âWhy should I believe you are...
Luke sighed as Matilda asked questions. This was not how he thought this evening would go. "You were put under a spell," he said simply. "The woman that took me, I call her mother..." He began and eyed the girl to see if she could tell he was telling the truth. "she told me about what she did."
Luke crossed his arms as he looked at the girl. "you weren't meant to know. You were t meant to come after me. But I'm here now and I'm here to tell you the truth." He watched her for a moment, "you'll believe me. It may not be now, but there's a part of you that knows I'm telling the truth."
âWoah woah,â Luke laughed lightly. âSlow down there, tiger.â He leaned back in his seat and eyed the man. âFirst off, I knew you were a werewolf by reading your palm. Unless you were turning in front of me, I wouldnât have known without reading you.â
He looks at the people bustling...
"Elementary, my dear Watson," Luke said with a smile as he looked down at the pumpkin. He was glad this kid was thinking like a kid instead of asking for harder tricks to do.
Luke looked at the pumpkin and inhaled deeply as he felt all the energy of the people outside swarming around him. He drew upon it to transport the pumpkin to another place.
He muttered some words, and suddenly the pumpkin was gone. Luke sent the pumpkin to behind the tent. The farther you transport the item, the more energy you had expend.
Around town | Open
Luke walked around town, taking in all the sights. It looked different since the festival - more normal. The man had stayed away from the town since he and his sister got into it. Whether she believed him or not was up in the air, but he figured she didn't want to see him yet.
Luke sat down on at an outside table at a little cafe. It was a nice day, a little cool but not too bad. He could sit outside comfortably. He waited for the waitress to come over and he ordered a sandwich and coke.
Luke grinned wildly, âvery astute observation. It was magic.â He clapped his hands together and the orb of energy disappeared. âIâm what youâll call a warlock.â
Sitting back in his chair, he eyed Simon. He assessed his level of belief. Considering he was a âmythical beingâ himself,...
"Woah woah," Luke laughed lightly. "Slow down there, tiger." He leaned back in his seat and eyed the man. "First off, I knew you were a werewolf by reading your palm. Unless you were turning in front of me, I wouldn't have known without reading you."
He looks at the people bustling outside, then back at Luke. "No. It doesn't hurt. I can draw energy from most people and they'd never know." Luke laughs lightly, "I don't think I've made a deal with a demon. At least the last time I checked." He leaned forward, "what else would you like to see?"
Hearing the man speak even after she had left him caused her to stand up as he approached her. Her head shook as she gritted her teeth. âThereâs no way. There was Percy and I. That was it. There wasnât a third child. Youâre mistaken, it wasnât us.â She couldnât help but notice the familiarity of...
Luke took a step back from Matilda when she pushed him. "Uh," he looked around and shoved his hands in his pockets. "It's okay." He eyes Matilda for a minute. "Look it's my fault," he tried to hide his disappointment. This was not how Luke anticipated his first meeting with his sister would go.
"I shouldn't have said anything." Luke began backing away to return to his table. "You have a nice night, or life or whatever." He turned around and began walking back to his tent. You'll figure it out soon enough.
Matilda stopped when he told her to wait. She turned around, arms crossed as she stared him down. His request to do a truth spell only made her brow furrow as she shook her head. âI will not. I have my brother. I have no other, and this is not funny. Itâs hurtful.â She sniffed, not much liking...
Luke was taken aback by Matilda's explosion. That was not the response he was looking for. When she huffed out of the tent he debated whether or not to follow after her. Finally he sighed and went after her.
He didn't have to walk far to find his long lost sister sitting on the bench. "I wasn't lying." Luke spoke softly and seriously to Matilda. "I know because I'm your brother. I'm the third sibling." He stood in front of her and crossed his hands in front of his chest.
âOh I donât think Iâm right,â Luke grinned. âI know Iâm right.â He eyed the boy. They looked the same age although Luke was a bit older. Old enough to be his father. âHere,â he said, holding up a finger. âLet me prove to you that Iâm not a hoax.â
Sitting forward in his chair, he...

Sitting back in his chair, he eyed Simon. He assessed his level of belief. Considering he was a "mythical being" himself, he should be okay with the idea of warlocks. "I do magic, spells, potions. The works." Luke smiled a bit, "I like to draw energy from things around me. It can be good or bad. It helps me do more powerful magic."
Supernatural (Halloween Festival) | Luke&Simon
âOh it comes with the territory,â Luke said cryptically as he took Simonâs hand in his. He didnât bother looking up, âno cost.â He followed the lines on his hand as the crowds bustled around the two boys, or men, not bothering to look at the fortune teller. Most didnât believe it. This wasnât exactly a lucrative business and when Luke was put in charge of it, he didnât make a cent. Only tips from the tip jar.
âI see..â he smiled a bit. Luke realized this man was a supernatural in front of him. Might as well have some fun. âI see you having issues.â He looked back up at Simon. âYour body revolts against you frequently.â He looked back down. âOnceâŠevery month. Kind of like a womanâs,â he couldnât help but laugh lightly at himself. âAm I right or am I right?â He let go of Simonâs hand and crossed his arms confidently.
Simonâs mouth falls open slightly and he instinctively looks around, holding onto his devil horn headband. Has someone been following him, someone who knows who he is, and did they inform this fortune teller about Simonâs secret? He faces the guy across from him again. Or has he been stalking him? He almost laughs at himself. Heâs not worthy of having a stalker. And then his train of thought shifts and he narrows his eyes. Is this kid a werewolf hunter? No way, from the looks of this guy, Simon shouldnât be worried about being hurt by him. Â
He takes in a breath and pushes away the paranoia. Maybe this kid made a really good guess. Isnât that was fortune telling is? Making guesses and seeing how the customer reacts? And that happens to be exactly what Simon did. But if so, that was a really, really good guess. And the look of confidence on the fortune tellerâs face gives Simon the feeling that he knows exactly what heâs talking about.Â
âWhat makes you think youâre right?â he asks the fortune teller with some snark and a frown.
"Oh I don't think I'm right," Luke grinned. "I know I'm right." He eyed the boy. They looked the same age although Luke was a bit older. Old enough to be his father. "Here," he said, holding up a finger. "Let me prove to you that I'm not a hoax."
Sitting forward in his chair, he put his hands on the table and exhaled. Luke closed his eyes and brought his hands up to about chest level and put the palms to eachother. As he separated them, an orb of swirling light appeared in between. It was energy - pure energy. He was drawing it from all the elements around him.. and from Simon. He looked up at the boy. "Believe me yet?'
My Dead Brother? (Halloween Festival) | Luke & Matilda
âAt least you know where itâs from. My brother would be so clueless.â She said with a giggle before watching him as he âreadâ more from her hand. Her head tilting as he spoke. What he said though, caused her blood to run cold. Her eyes narrowing as she pulled her arm away from the man, keeping it close to her chest. Her wrist still decorated in the healing bracelet that Lucian made on her when she had broken her wrist not too long ago.
âThat isnât funny.â She said in a stern tone. Her eyebrows furrowed as her lips were spread into a thin line. âI donât know what you are trying to pull here, but that was just not funny at all.â She said as she stood up from the chair, turning around to leave the mans tent.
"Wait," Luke shot up from his chair. "I'm being serious." He sighed, "I probably should've taken that more seriously. Trust me, being mature is one of my many faults." He gave her an apologetic grin. "I promise you that I'm telling the truth.
Luke went out from behind the chair and met her eyes. "Do a truth spell. You'll see I'm telling the truth." He didn't bother explaining why he knew she was a witch. She'd know as soon as she believed the story.
My Dead Brother? (Halloween Festival) | Luke & Matilda
Matilda grinned as the man traced lines in her palm. When he said her name she stared at him a bit shocked, feeling an odd sensation in her chest. Something about him was⊠familiar. She laughed at his explanation of her brother. âYes, so much different than me. Heâs a wet noodle.â She admitted with bright laughter before looking down at her hand. She wondered how the man could really read off of just the simply hand lines. It was an interesting thing to watch, and she wondered if she could learn it.
The dramatic turn in his voice caused her to smirk a bit. She supposed this was the âtrickâ of the entire reading. Make someone feel comfortable, and then âread their deadly futuresâ to give them a fright. âOh? What do you see? Do I die a painful death? Stabbed repeatedly by the Hash Slinging Slasher?â She joked with a giggle.
"Hash Slinging Slasher," he said completely losing his train of thought. "Nice Spongebob reference," Luke laughed lightly but looked back down at his sister's hand. He put his dramatic face back on. "No, that's not all I see," he repeated. "There was one more."
Luke looked back into her eyes, "one more child." He let go of her hand, "and that's all the spirits will tell me." Of course he didn't need any spirits or any magic for that matter to give her that reading, but it was fun. He could've told her something interesting. He could've even told her what she was going to do for her birthday next year. But he didn't. He wanted to know what she thought of him.
Supernatural (Halloween Festival) | Luke&Simon
âOh, umâŠâ Simon looks behind him and around. There is no one else the palm guy could be talking to. He wants to say no. He should have left before the guy finished reading that womanâs palm. And because there is no one else, no other business, would it be rude if he left the fortune teller after standing and watching for so long?
He examines the kid again. He doesnât look particularly intimidating or that he doesnât want to be here so Simon steps toward the chair on his side of the booth. âUh, sure. Sure, why not.â After sitting, he gives the guy a smile and awkwardly holds out his left hand, unsure of what he should do with it. Glancing at the table in front of him, he smiles at how heavily decorated it is.Â
âSo, howâd you get stuck telling peopleâs fortunes?â Simon asks, trying to make conversation, level with a peer. âThis is kind of lame, huh? Oh, and how much is this going to cost?â
"Oh it comes with the territory," Luke said cryptically as he took Simon's hand in his. He didn't bother looking up, "no cost." He followed the lines on his hand as the crowds bustled around the two boys, or men, not bothering to look at the fortune teller. Most didn't believe it. This wasn't exactly a lucrative business and when Luke was put in charge of it, he didn't make a cent. Only tips from the tip jar.
"I see.." he smiled a bit. Luke realized this man was a supernatural in front of him. Might as well have some fun. "I see you having issues." He looked back up at Simon. "Your body revolts against you frequently." He looked back down. "Once...every month. Kind of like a woman's," he couldn't help but laugh lightly at himself. "Am I right or am I right?" He let go of Simon's hand and crossed his arms confidently.
Supernatural (Halloween Festival) | Luke&Simon
Simon has never had his future read in a crystal ball or the creases in his palm looked at. Heâs never really had the opportunity to nor has he wanted to. Why would he pay someone to tell him nonsense if he doesnât believe in magic or the supernaturalâuntil then two years ago when he Shifted for the first time. After that, there was no way he could claim not to believe that there are unexplained, special things out in the world. For instance, if werewolves actually exist, then vampire probably do to, maybe even more than just werewolves and vampires. He has yet to meet any other supernatural creature however, but then again, he hasnât traveled far.Â
He stands near a booth where a guy who could be his age is reading someoneâs palm. He finds it strange. When he pictures a palm reader, he imagines a middle aged woman with frizzy, multicolored hair and too much jewelry. So this guy giving people their futures is an interesting sight. He wonders who roped this guy into palm reading when he imagines the guy would much rather be out in the festival, playing games and eating the strange food. He watches to see if this guy is actually putting a real effort into reading this womanâs palm.
Luke sat at the palm reader station, with a woman's hand in his. He was enjoying the evening so far. For the most part, he was giving real fortunes, unless people's futures were completely boring and irrelevant.. then he would say something ridiculous to make the night more interesting.Â
He traced the lines in her hand and looked back up at the woman, "I see trouble ahead." He watched the lines for a moment. "It has to do with your husband and.." he looked behind the woman to her friend who was waiting in line. "Her." Luke looked back at the woman innocently, "good luck."
As the women walked away, he noticed Simon standing, watching. "You want your fortune told?" He leaned forward against the ornately decorated table. It was ridiculous with bright fall colors and jack-o-lanterns every which way.
