• Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin — 4.5/5: was really busy in April and was kept company by this little longer read throughout the month which was definitely a good choice for my April! chose this one bc of all the hype I’d seen around it and the interesting plot (platonic somewhat-soulmates, story spanning several decades, early video games industry and misogyny, resentment, healing …) and for sure wasn’t disappointed by the book (it’s good!) but also not quite as hyped as everyone else I think. idk what was missing for me to make it a five star read bc it was genuinely really good!!! the characters are complex and compelling, the writing worked for me. I can even see myself re-reading this one and I think this is one of those that gets better with a second read
