physical anya things.

she spent a lot of time climbing trees as well as swinging axes and working with her hands and it has left them calloused. they are rough and dry as she never learned to take care of them.

due to a condition known as aniridia, her pupil is abnormally large making it seem as though anya has black eyes. ( whether this attributes to her exceptional vision is unknown, though she does suffer from photophobia. )

anya has a variety of blemishes and scars on her face. the scars range in variety and size as well as cause. most noticeably her lips are scarred from frostbite.

she is a little over 6’7” and buff, though she should not be described as thin, anya is more stocky.

while she likes long hair it’s extremely hard for her to manage so she usually cuts it or shaves it, though she doesn’t shave anywhere else.

i often think about anya and the things she knows / doesn’t know due to her being forced to fully raise herself from an extremely young age. like anya has a very skewed perception on most things but especially when it comes to young children and their capabilities / knowledge and it is highly likely she believes most young children know basic survival skills due to how she was raised, in this essay —

i think it’s important to talk about anya and the little girls who died in her care,  tw. abduction / kidnapping

( this is in no way meant to excuse her actions but rather explain them . )   

 anya never killed people for the sole purpose of taking their children,  she would hunt adults either without knowing they had children or too blinded by the adrenaline from the hunt wouldn’t care, and the children would become an after thought. someone she refused to hurt, and thus had to take care of. ( i don’t believe anya would tie the children up, she is far too focused on their comfort going as far as to steal books when she can’t read or wearing a variety of masks so they won’t be afraid of her but that’s a different meta. )

she did genuinely care for the children, the problem is she don’t know how to take care of them. especially not in the harsh conditions where she was barely able to take care of herself in the harsh winters.

while anya’s eyes were very dark before. since entering the realm anya’s eyes have become completely black, she no longer has any pigment nor white in her sclera. this has to do with the entity’s influence on her.
