Allie... I had fun experimenting with shading for this but also it's just been a long time since I've drawn something complete with her.

#697 - Do You Know This Video Game Song?
I know both the song and the game.
I know the song OR the game, but not both.
I might know this.
I've never heard this.
Song: Dyer's Acres From: The Knightling Artist: Tumult Kollektiv

So many people who love generative AI don't have a creative bone in their body and can't imagine anyone actually enjoying the time and effort it takes to write something or draw something.
Reblog this and tell me what was your biggest crying over a piece of fiction. You can be vague if you don't want to spoil.
HYPNOSPACE OUTLAW IS JUST $5
The outest most quote is me btw those are my words. Hypnospace Outlaw is an incredible game and a huge inspiration to me in terms of design and storytelling and music. Go buy it and support the development of the sequel!
Hey, what's this?! Why it's the steam page for me and my mate's new game!
The game's called "A Corporate Machine". You play a robot vacuum cleaning tasked with cleaning up a big office. 4/5 of the devs are old Steamworld veterans.
We've been working on this for a while now, and finally the steampage is live! Kindly have a look and throw a wishlist our way if it seems like something you'd like.
Cheers!
Control a secretly sentient robot vacuum at the bottom of a soul-crushing corporation. Tidy up messes, re-organize spaces, or help coworkers
Weird-ass way to come out of my tumblr hiatus but I've been chewing on this for longer than I should have.
I hate to admit it but the SteamWorld hyperfixation's dead. Yeah. Crazy to think it's been like eight years but some shit's happened that straight up killed it in the span of a week. I'm kinda distancing myself from SteamWorld stuff at the moment if only for my mental health (which is a whole other thing that I won't bother talking about here bc it's something ultimately up to me to fix). Honestly I will probably share/reblog content whenever I can find the time to consistently visit again, at this point that probably won't be until I graduate from uni later this year but. My heart's just not in it right now.
So ultimately this is a question for my followers here, since I know the majority of you follow me for SteamWorld content:
How would you feel if I started posting about stuff besides SteamWorld more frequently?
Ultimately this is my main and I can do what I want with it but. I did at least want to gauge opinions here. I also just cannot do the sideblog thing; I've tried in the past and I've learned that I do not have the energy or like. Mental focus to be able to manage it.
Really I have already sort of made a decision already, I'm just unsure on when I'll follow through on things bc of time restraints. I just wanted to hear from people here.
Still on my mind. Fruity red bitches huh. Maybe I'll write that crossover fic someday. I don't think any of the readers would know who Ada is tho lol
this took me way too long. rusty and his velcro baby of a vectron sprite
it’s been a while since l’ve drawn any steamworld stuff
l’ve been wanting to draw her in this hat for a while
I don't expect many ppl following me to remember this drawing I did for Steamcember back in 2023 but I finalized some of the character designs :]
In order: Jade (They/Them), Bubbles (She/Her), and Clover (She/Her). (the bottom three renders are all the same character, just at different angles/different points in time lol).
I've said this on Discord a few times but I am desperately curious about what else was going on in different areas of the world while Dig 2/Build was happening. I decided I wanna make my own story to explore that; these are just a few of the characters that will be involved. I'm excited to get to the rest :]
i may be the first person to make a vectron sprite oc i fear
thank you for reminding me to post my own Vectron sprite OC, I posted a concept art back in late uhhhhh 2023 but I've only finalized her design recently lol
Really though, Steamworld Heist is quite good. Fun gameplay, and it maintains a fairly lighthearted tone while also including some really interesting world building!
Your team is full of funny characters you recruit, with unique quirks and abilities.
Then the old wailer tells you how he got pushed out of his job, and away from his love, the sea, because the Royal navy took over wailing. The redneck girl with an attitude tells you how hard it was working the moisture farm. Her siblings left for greener pastures, and alone, she couldn't keep up with the taxes, and her family farm got repossessed. She wants to work a farm again, someday.
The Royalist forces, powered by diesel, collect water taxes from the steambot population, water the steambots need for fuel. The Royalists use that water to fill decorative ponds and fountains adorning the palace.
The more I play steam world dig the more I’m realizing how like video games got to be the perfect medium for environmental story telling- like I always knew it was the most fit for it then any other medium cause games you engage so much and travel through different areas but dig being entirely based around digging through a mine, finding more the deeper you go down, is such a COOL way to tell a story without needing many words. Like the basic plot of this is dense sure but for that reason it lets the GAMEPLAY give you all the looks at this lore n stuff-
and also it’s genuinely terrifying the more you dig, why was this game not tagged horror bro 😭
i made this to illustrate my newfound fear of vectron golems
