Finished (mostly) the mockup for my Captain Fortune corset/bodice. I'm really happy with how it has turned out so far. This was my first time making my own pattern so I was super nervous it wouldn't work but it's not too bad. Once I see this up in some beautiful blue velvet I will be in business! It feels so good to have the sewing machine whirring again! Whipping up something quick to wear to the Renn Faire this weekend 👑 🐉

Still not done but I did some major cleaning up and organizing of my craft space and feel sooooo much better. As you can see in the first pic, my desk got overrun, so I stretched out to the dining table... Then that got overrun too 😧. I bought a sturdy shelf and some clear sterilite bins from Target and went to work. I put finished cosplays into individual boxes for storage (MAJOR!). I organized my fabric by wrapping and pinning "mini bolts" onto cut up scrap cardboard, and filing them into bins. I separated different materials into bins (paint, markers, sewing stuff, cutting stuff, odds and ends, etc.). Now everything has a place and my desk it *almost* clean. I'm also finishing up the cover for the shelf to make it a little prettier in the living room, and will probably add some twinkle lights on the inside because why not 😜🌌

A quick photo recap of the making of my Teemo helmet for Otakon. Started with making the pattern, when trough construction in worbla, to painting, and finally adding the fur trim. This way my first experience with worbla and it was a major challenge but definitely exciting. I can't wait to start my next project!
