pumpkin textures :3 a little spooky and a little cute, hopefully. additionally, not pictured, the new pumpkin blur overlay to go with these has an aspect ratio of 16:9 so that the cutout actually looks square on most monitors instead of looking stretched, which is Still somehow a thing that happens in vanilla
textures for blocks of iron, gold, lapis, and diamond, that while not totally final, im at least happy enough with to use ^-^
chest, wooden door, torch, and lever textures for my texturepack ^-^ (minus the cobblestone texture on the lever because i havnt done that yet). i think im happy with the way these turned out, even if the chest and wooden door textures look a little weird at first, i think theyre as close to vanilla vibes as i can get given the restrictions on material palette that im going for
while practicing to internalize a hexadecimal numeral system im working on, i realized it would be nice to have number words for 10 to 16, like how duodecimal has dek, el, and dozen/doe, for 10, 11, and 12. so i looked to see if someone had already come up with words, and it turns out that the 3 naming schemes that are listed on wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexadecimal#Verbal_representation) are Pretty Bad, so i spent a few hours coming up with some words that i think are a little nicer. dek, el, dou, trisk, tetrem, pynt, and hex. dek, el, and dou are taken from duodecimal, but with the spelling of doe changed to dou so its not the same as another real word. the rest are roughly based on greek numbers, instead of the letters a through f like the ones that are mentioned on wikipedia. tetrem is the only one thats 2 syllables, but i think thats fine since its 2*7, and seven is Also 2 syllables so theres some symmetry there. lastly, pynt is pronounced pɪnt (like pinto instead of pine).
