Some Witch Hat theorizing/thoughts: (Manga spoilers ahead ofc)
-All the talk about Coco being "the seed of hope" obviously has people theorizing about Coco being a silverwood host. But the mechanics of how the silverwood works don‘t really fit at all? If Coco was a silverwood since she met Iguin for the first time surely she‘d have sprouted already at some point, and it really feels more like Iguin wants Coco to do something rather than become a sacrifice so it doesn‘t fit their motives either
-Nevertheless, I feel like especially the recent episode wanted to stress that some sort of process has occurred to Coco at some point
-There is a festival called Silver Eve that celebrates witches, the silverwood, and the gift of magic
-There is also a festival called Golden Eve for the humans who have not been granted magic
-Brimhats like to experiment with new magic
-Restys’ comment about Custas suggests they‘re still working on the silverwoods and the conditions for their sprouting
-Iguin specifically wanted a child that grew up without magic to play "X role"
-There is the tale of the star and the tree which is obviously a parallel to Qifrey and Orugio, with Orugio as the star and Qifrey as the tree
-Despite their childhood personalities being different, narratively, Agott is the parallel to Orugio, making her the star, and Coco is the parallel to Qifrey, making her the tree
-Witches:Non-Witches, silver:gold, silverwood: …?
-Coco‘s hair is described as golden-green
What if Coco is a new subspecies of silverwood, a goldwood, which works differently than silverwood and sprouts under different conditions?
