The G80 is awarded the best buy. Took this last year 2017 from a photography magazine
The Panasonic Lumix G85 is a compact, lightweight Micro Four Thirds camera that includes some of the worlds most sophisticated photographic technology.
Daniel has good things to say about the Lumix G85. (G80 in Europe)
Long Exposure or Bulb Mode
The Lumix G80 has a silent mode (activate with Fn3) to shut the shutter sound off. This silent mode is good in a concert, street photography
The silent mode sets the shutter to electronic. The electronic shutter has a maximum length of only one second, even in manual mode (M).
Setting the camera back from silent mode to off (ie. back to mechanical shutter) enables you to control the full range of shutter speed and aperture.
The silent mode on #lumixg80 can impact the use of Flash and Bulb mode (long exposure at night). The Fn 3 function button is the key to switch on and off
This is shot with a shutter speed of 4 second with aperture of f/3.8
Someone in the family was impressed by the video quality of this Lumix G80.

First shot from my Lumix G80
The G85 (bottom right) borrows something from each of its siblings. It has the weather-sealing of the GX8 (bottom left), in-body image stabilization, a sensor sans-AA filter and a redesigned shutter mechanism from the GX85 (top) and a revised version of the G7 (center)'s body.
