Luna knew that she looked better in nothing, what a hot body she had. But Lilah’s was just as beautiful. Maybe even better. No definitely better. Luna was mostly happy with everything though. She even enjoyed looking at Lilah after a huge hangover or if she was sick. The girl looked good in everything and at any circumstance. The blonde wasn’t jealous about it though, Luna was happy with how she looked and even liked to show off Lilah to everyone. When they were out and people tried to hit on her best friend she’d instantly turn into the overly-protective-girlfriend-modus. 

When the brunette turned around all Luna could do was look at her lips. Lilah was a little taller than her, well literally everyone was taller than her. The blonde couldn’t stop staring at Lilah, it even took her breath away for a few seconds. “They are perfect.. “ Luna couldn’t help herself and kissed the raven haired girl again letting her hands trace circles on the other girl’s back. “What a chemistry we have. “ she laughed.

Lilah allowed herself to be pulled in for the kiss. She savored it for a second before the blonde pulled back to speak. All she could muster was a hum and a nod in agreement before she found herself dipping her head back down to take Luna’s lips back in her own. Her hands came up to cup the shorter girls face, slightly pulling her closer.

It had been a while since the two had even shared a kiss as innocent as this. For Lilah, it had been that same amount of time since she had shared a kiss with anyone at all. When Luna left, she couldn’t find it in herself to be with anyone else. She has always known where her heart belonged, way back when they were just little girls jumping on her bed. Lilah knew that this girl was going to be the death of her and she was willing to fall every step of the way. So in this moment, Lilah was happy again. For the first time since Luna left, Lilah is happy again. But that scared her because surely the ‘I love yous’ and the cute talk was all their usual flirty banter and nothing has really changed since the last time Lilah allowed herself to feel like this. But she will be damned if she doesn’t get the physical aspect of their friendship.

She pulled back from the kiss and grinned down at the blonde, resting her forehead on the other girls and slowly closing her eyes. All the time wearing a relaxed, genuine smile.

Luna was surprised by the kiss. It wasn’t something they hadn’t done before but it was something a little bit more intense than the other times. This time Luna’s stomach was turning and her knees were shaking. It was like her body almost screamed for more of that. The blonde was always scared to commit with someone, and was used to sleep around with literally everyone. But this time something in her mind changed, it was like she felt like Lilah was the only person that she wanted to be around. Someone she wouldn’t mind spending her entire life with. Was that too cliché? Was that too weird for Luna? The blonde knew that she swore to never have a real relationship. But what if this could work? What if they could wake up next to each other every single day? What if this was.. their happy ending?

The girl wrapped her arms around her best friend and held her head slightly. And then she pulled back a little. “Maybe.. “ she whispered. “Maybe I want to tell you something. “ Luna was always the one that had to get her feelings out somehow. Some might have said that she was a little too open or spoke too much instead of thinking. But this moment seemed right. This seemed right.

“Happy 2016 everybody, hope your party was just as fun as mine. I got to kiss the most beautiful girl in the room (yes you Lilah) and while I was watching fireworks I sang the Katy Perry song with the same name and people applauded. What a night. How was your New years eve?”

It’s ridiculous how much still has to be done before I go to Sundance in Utah next month. A lot of conference calls, phone conversations, and paper work – I wouldn’t be surprised if I lose my voice and use of my hand before it’s all over with. But it will all be worth it when I get there.

Luna sat down on Lilah’s bed, a place where she had spend a lot of hours. When they were little they used to pretend they were famous and used this bed as their stage. And later on the bed became something more… She enjoyed this place a lot though. It was always special when they were here. It was just them against the rest of the world. The blonde looked at Lilah’s closet and raised an eyebrow. “ I don’t know. I look hot in everything. “ She laughed shaking her head. “You just pick something for me and I’ll totally rock it. “

She stood up and wrapped her arms around the raven haired girl’s waist looking into the closet. “How many dresses do you have? Like 500? “ Luna admired Lilah’s sense for fashion. Honestly, Luna was mostly wearing old jeans and an over-sized sweater. The girl didn’t like being all girly and stuff. Unless when she went out partying. Dancing in a dress was much more fun.

“So? What’s it gonna be? “

Luna laughed quietly, “That’s true, but I think you look better in nothing.” she said, quietly. Her back was facing the blonde to hide the smirk she was wearing, though the girl was right behind her, with her hands around her waist so she is sure the blonde heard the remark. She continued to rummage through her closet, “I don’t even know, I’m pretty sure there are some I haven’t even worn yet.”

She pulled out a dark red dress and a dark blue dress. They were the same dress, but different colors to give Luna options. They were loose because she knew the blonde liked to be free when she was dancing. Plus, it made for easier disposal later on if need be. She set the dresses to the side then pulled out the outfit she already had in mind for herself. Tight black leather pants, a tight black crop top and some tall black boots with a short heel.

She turned in the blonde’s arms, very much in her personal space. Her breath caught in her throat at how close she was to her best friends face. “I-I think these will do.” She said, blatantly staring at Luna’s lips.

Okay so quick announcement. I will be spending Christmas with my family this year, and I’m going to quit school for a while. I have other plans.

For all the fuckers who decided to judge me without knowing my situation. A big fuck you and I hope your Christmas is sad and lonely. 

Wait that’s mean, lets just say I hope you learned your lesson. 

I fixed my own problems and now I can finally be myself again and spend Christmas here. Which is great. I deserve an applause!

Well, I woke up late for my morning run, Starbucks was out of Chai mix for my latte, a mean old lady ran into me causing me to drop to hot coca that I had settled for instead (and didn’t apologize), and when I got home Netflix was having problems therefore I couldn’t watch my shows. I know it is all minor stuff and people probably have a lot worse things going on, but today has just been highly frustrating.

Sometimes you test my patience and my temper, but I hope you know that it’s all out of love. You have the type of rebelliousness that people everyone wishes they had. Your passion and courage continues to amaze me, and I know deep down below that hard shell, you’re a softie on the inside, just like an M&M (something you also get from me). Some of these things are self-explanatory (just so you know that s’mores pillow warms up!); I did want you to understand the compass necklace though - I know sometimes you feel lost, we all do.
